Oh, the wonders of the high calling to live in the power of Christ's resurrection! It's God's desire, and believers aspire unto it, yet we agonizingly fall short of it repeatedly. This book helped to give me a greater understanding of how I can live and remain in that power.

T. Austin-Sparks takes the story of Elisha as a type of the Body of Christ, to show how he lived in resurrection power. Elisha was frequently in a situation that reeked of death, but ministered the life of God, which resulted in marvellous miracles.

We also are surrounded with "death" daily, and we need to learn how to encounter that death with the life of God, and not to be overcome by it.
