Author Lisa Wysocky presents country music stars with their own true, inspirational stories of horses. Horse lovers and country music fans will struggle and triumph with the stars as they share powerful, life-changing lessons they learned from horses. Stars include Charlie Daniels, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Kix Brooks. Also includes photos from the artists private collections.
Lisa Wysocky is an author, equine clinician, and motivational speaker who trains horses for and consults with therapeutic riding programs. She is the co-author, with Brad Cohen, of Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had. Front of the Class has been seen on Oprah and Inside Edition and in People magazine, and won Best Education Book at the IPPY and the ForeWord book awards. Plus, it aired as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie on CBS and was nominated for a Faith & Freedom award by MovieGuide.
Lisa is the author of Success Within, which shows how success is being the best you that you can be. A second book on success, Success Talks, has found a home with people who are going through a rough time. Lisa's book and DVD, My Horse, My Partner, help horse/human partners form amazing bonds. Then there is Horse Country, a beautiful coffee table book that features many stars of country music and their horses.
Her latest book, The Opium Equation, is an equestrian mystery set near Nashville, Tennessee and features an unlikely cast of characters including a (possibly) psychic horse.
Lisa is a registered level PATH International instructor and in 2007 was chosen as one of the country's Top 50 riding instructors by ARIA. As a speaker Lisa has motivated people from dozens of companies and associations. As an equine clinician she helps horses and humans connect in a meaningful way and helps people understand the "whys" behind equine behavior. She tours with horseman Sam Powell and The Power of a Whisper where she and Sam compare and contrast two schools of thought in reaching horse/human partnerships. Lisa splits her time between Tennessee and Minnesota. Find her at LisaWysocky.com or at LisaWysocky.blogspot.com.
