An excellent early thriller from the author of the Thirty-nine Steps. This book is good for both
adults and young adults. I wish someone had introduced this book to me in 7th or 8th grade along with Prester John, Greenmantle, and The Thirty-nine Steps. These books are the forerunners of Eric Ambler's A Coffin for Demetrios, which I also recommend. These books established the thriller genre which led to the techno-thrillers of Clancy and Ing. |
