One of the most influential formations which emerged in the beginnings of the N.W.O.B.H.M. madness was TANK - a fierce, ambitious young band, taking all the best that was in punk and metal to a higher level. Today Metal Mind Productions presents re-release of Tanks second studio album from 1982. The album, released during Tank's tour alongside the immensely popular band Diamond Head, featured a fairly similar musical style as on the debut, although some of the material was definitely slower and more rock-oriented. One of the main reasons for that was the constant comparison of the band to Motrhead, which after some time became really annoying for Tank. Although some of the tracks, like "Walking Barefoot Over Glass" and "T.A.N.K." were true highlights for Tank, "Power of the Hunter" never managed to repeat the success of the debut release. New edition includes 3 bonus tracks and is limited to 2000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

"Power of the hunter" is a worthy follow up to "Filth hounds of hades". On this album Tank is a bit more polished but don't be afraid - it's still raw power! The music is more traditional heavy metal and if you like The Rods, Saxon, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Samson and so on, this one will most certainly satisfy your hunger for metal.

Outstanding songs are: "Walking barefoot over glass", "Pure hatred", "Used leather" and "Crazy horses", but rest is also very enjoyable.

Ah, what might have been. I love Tank but this CD is a bittersweet disappointment. The songs are good and similiar to the first album but what the bleep did they do to the vocals? They are mixed too low and made to sound like the lead singer of Molly Hatchett. I can't even listen to it. I am very bummed!

Very hard to describe something so good.will last the test of time.Along with anything Motorhead this is white line fever! Those who don't know , who cares!Cheers!
