Gives a useful perspective on managing in a crisis.,
By P. Goodhart (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Power and Influence: Mastering the Art of Persuasion (Paperback)
Regardless of RD's personal foibles, the book is a helpful perspective on managing in a crisis. It gave me some great insights. For example, when you think of Hyatt Hotels, you don't automatically think of the tragedy in Kansas City - or Tylenol - many people don't even remember the poisonings. There is a reason and he discusses both situations in the book. A helpful read for anyone dealing with crisis management or business continuity or enterprise risk management.

Make sure that you have the time to read this book from "cover to cover" as the book is very difficult to put down.

Let go from Hill & Knowlton in 1991 for allegedly fabricating client scenarios and terrorizing his staff, Dilenschneider's advice should be taken with a grain of salt.
