This was a great cd, just in a little different format than I thought. I was under the impression it would be meditative advice but it's more live lecture. Still great and incredibly informative, an empowering perspective of some known info.

A very enjoyable and encouraging book. Her advice and witty presentation is true Northrup.

The Power of Joy is a wonderful reminder of how we create our own joy. Christiane is warm, funny and insightful in this CD. I strongly recommend it for everyone!

This CD is a pickerupper if your ready to change your attitude about how u look at life. Start living from the inside and let it come out of you and spray it all over whoever you come in contact with and yes I said spray it like a fine perfume.

Dr Northrup is obviously a very bright woman with a wonderful, playful sense of humor. In this lecture she comes across as the kind of doctor every women wishes she had on speed dial. She just doesn't suggest that you include more joy in your life, she prescribes it. Great lecture but I knocked off one star because they make it sound like you are buying an audio book. This is a short lecture that you can easily finish in one sitting. It runs 1 hour and 3 minutes according to my kindle.

This is quick single CD that makes you think more positvly.

Listening to this audiobook was an outstanding experience. Dr. Northrup has the recipe for finding joy in every way: mental, physical, social...anyway you can imagine. The recording is incredibly funny, full of great science on how we are hard-wired to be joyful, and a pleasure to listen to. My current plan is to use this as a Christmas gift for a half-dozen of my best friends and family members. The review with the criticism in it, missed the point all together. I posted a comment, if you care to read it. Thanks for using your skills and talents, Dr. Northrup!

Really enjoyed this cd. Dr Northrup has a voice that is very easy to listen to which I feel is the 1st important thing with cds. The power of joy is insightful, with lots of wonderful ideas and a joy to listen too. I'm interested in health and wellbeing from a holistic point of view and she addresses this.

I was at this lecture when it was recorded on a snowy Maine evening. Dr. Northrup is uplifting, informative and truly entertaining. We had a great time. This cd is great.

I truly enjoyed listening to Dr Northrup's CD. She makes you realize your not alone in your feelings and you, and only you, can have what you want in life. Making it happen is in our own control. She makes it funny and uplifting and I listen to it often. My only regret is that I hadn't gotten it sooner in life. Buy it, listen to it, live it!
