A Must-Have for the Professional Salesperson,
By A Customer
This review is from: Power Networking: 55 Secrets for Personal and Professional Success (Paperback)
My business depends upon networking and cultivating prospects. Donna Fisher's book is a primer, with suggestions, recommendations, and how-to's. Real knowledge that one can put to use immediately. Very good information that can be used at both the professional and personal level.

Networking in "win-win" rather than self-serving terms,
By A Customer
This review is from: Power Networking: 55 Secrets for Personal and Professional Success (Paperback)
Donna's book, Power Networking, elevates "networking" to the higher level it so rightfully deserves. It's the first book I've seen that emphasizes the "win-win" side to networking rather than neworking just for the sake of "what's in it for me?"

The best career advancement tool out there,

When traveling for my job, I listen to the audio tapes of Power Networking : 55 Secrets for Personal & Professional Success. This book has improved my networking skills incredibly. I have extended my current network to include international contacts as well as top executives in my field. At first, I listened to the entire book twice, then I listened to sections as I needed certain skills to be reinforced. Now, I want to give parts of the book to my employees to help build their contact database. This book is a must have!

So few real "secrets",
By A Customer
This review is from: Power Networking: 55 Secrets for Personal and Professional Success (Paperback)
I'm shocked at the wealth of positive reviews for this book. It doesn't supply secrets, it just provides flowery arguments for the reasons why to network.
We all know it is important to network- that's why would have bought the book in the first place. Its lack of useful advice or specific tactics was disappointing. I expect to see Donna Fisher in informericals.

This book was recommended by a dear friend. My husband and I recently launched a small business and wanted to increase our customer base. Donna's book helped guide us through the networking process step by step, in a natural way. In a short time our efforts payed off, increasing our profits and making new friends along the way!

Excellent book on creating relationships,
By LS (New York, NY) - See all my reviews

This is the best book I have read on the subject of networking. It focuses on the aspect of "giving" information to the people you network with rather than "getting" something from them. We would all be much better off if everyone practiced just a few of the techniques that the author shares. I plan on incorporating most of the 55 practical tips right away. The book is a fast-read and is very helpful if you want to connect with people for any purpose, whether it be for your career or for social reasons.

Keep this book handy and you'll improve your people skills!,

Some books you look at and never take off the shelf. Others you pick up and quickly put down. You just leaf through some. But the books you buy, you will just scan, read only once, or thoroughly digest then come back again and again for refills. This is a book of the third kind. You can easily read it cover-to-cover, or you can start on any page and just take what you want. It's a book you'll want nearby at all times if you're serious about getting things done through people, in both your social and your business life. Chapter Two proves you can work like a dog without becoming a mongrel. We all know some of those
