5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent educational read!!
The author made excellent points about the relationships among African-Americans. His explanation of statisitics tied in with his theory show that he is very educated, and that he is not basing his ideas on what he "think he knows". This book has made me realize the mistakes I've made in life, and taught me how to move on and not make the same mistakes again...

The author made excellent points about the relationships among African-Americans. His explanation of statisitics tied in with his theory show that he is very educated, and that he is not basing his ideas on what he "think he knows". This book has made me realize the mistakes I've made in life, and taught me how to move on and not make the same mistakes again. One important point he makes is to take care of all YOUR issues first, so you have the time and energy to focus on a LASTING relationaship later.

This review is from: The Power, Passion & Pain of Black Love (Paperback)
I'm almost finish with this book and what to suggest it to anyone who is single, engaged or in search of their soul-mate. I plan on passing this book to a friend, family member or someone else because it has to be shared. The book is awesome...the author is 'out of this world.'
This is my third book by the author an I continously learn and think some much from his writings and research...

I wanted him to elaborate, and he, like Joy Jones, said that this particular type of woman is one that is academically competent, has achieved in the outside world, but is able to make her man feel like a man when she returns home. Valerie shaw, in the book entitled Himpressions, elaborates:

There is no telling how far you can throw a little subtlety. Subtlety is what brothers see in Southern girls. They know how to take an idea and make a man claim it as his own. The same goes for Asian women and yes white women...........
