This book has good ideas and is easy to read. HOwever, I was somewhat surprised by the overall religious nature.
I intended to give it to a high school student in a public school. I alerted him to the large focus on religion. He was okay with this because he is somewhat of a spiritual person. If I had known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different book.

Very interesting, there is a story about a little girl who has the same problem that my son has and it's the cause for him to be negative... I've looked through it and there are some stories that are very interesting.. :-)

Power of yourself,
This review is from: The Power of Positive Thinking for Teens (Paperback)
This book helped me turn my life into a success. At the age of 12, my dad gave me this book and another by Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda, The Artful Dodger. The main idea of believing in yourself always is a trait I have always carried since then. The only fault that I eventually discovered is the faith in a god for part of that success. Despite building a PMA as a teen, I still found myself hoping that god would have an influence. I was taught to do this by family and other parts of our American society. It wasn't until I decided to question religion, and do research on how religions were formed, that I found that no greater power intentionally influences anything. This revelation has empowered me all the more. I know that no god or devil is battling for my soul. It's just me and my belief in myself living life that makes me happy or sad. I have the choice - completely. That is power!
