It was a last-ditch, half-hearted effort that lead me to read this book a few years ago. I was feeling hopeless and helpless in my crumbling marriage. The idea of praying for my husband (whom i didn't think deserved to be prayed for) was a great challenge at the time. But, this book was a saving grace for me and for my marriage. I encourage every woman who loves her man to read this book and give prayer a chance. I have purchased it for three of my friends since then.

I recommend this book to every woman who believes in the power of prayer and especially to those who do not. If your marriage is going through a rough season purchase this book. Do not just approach it as a regular book, but as an assignment that God has given us for the victory in our marriage. Stormie clearly wrote this book inspired by the Holy Spirit..a troubled marriage get the book, your marriage is great still get the book to keep the marriage great..The Lord had me start an international women's ministry because of the results in my marriage from this book. The ministry is called Powerful Praying Women. This is a book I recommend to every married woman..in two words it is, "LIFE CHANGING" ...in my closing of you reading the book i say work this assignment and then, "stand back and see the glory of the Lord."

Stormie Omartian writes prayers that seem like she is living my life. They are exactly what my husband needs me to pray to help him is his daily walk with God, which in turn, makes my life much better. I would highly recommend this book and actually any of Stormie's books.

If you change your heart, this book can work for you. I have applied it to my everyday living. I have notice a real change in my relationship with my husband. Thank you Stormie Omartian for giving me a different tool. If it had not been for reading this book and applying it to my life. I am not sure of the direction my relationship with God and my husband would have gone.

I have used this book for yrs. and give it to many couples getting married to start their marriages out right with praying for each other. It is great because it is a prayer a day for a month for the wife to pray for her husband. I also love the book of The Power of a Praying Husband(Book of Prayers) which is for the husbands to pray for their wives.

The prayers listed in this book are great for the modern day wife. I'm a 27-year-old newlywed and everyday is not a honeymoon. This book has some terrific prayers that helped me to focus and get though some difficult times. It's small and fits great in a purse. It also has places for you to make notes or write prayers of your own. I've passed this on to my mother and will pass it along to my sister when she becomes a wife one day too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. So often we don't have the words for what we want to express to our Father in Heaven. Stormie gives us these words, with varying situations and circumstances, so we can just seek, ask, and knock as we praise our Father in Heaven. The prayers are to the point, in language we use daily and have scripture references to support each request. The book is small enough to fit in a purse or fit in a glove box in the car. I'm enjoying it immensely. The author is a true PRAYER WARRIOR.

I am not a christian per se. I do not have significant marital problems, which would bring me to read this book. When I first picked it up, I was very turned off by the assumption of guilt in a woman, the urge of admittance of guilt, and the urge to submission. My arrogance made me laugh and shuv the book aside. However, the excerpts lingered in my memory and I had to read again. I was curious, why would anyone want to brain wash themselves into sbumission. I rated this book as four stars because it does a tremendous job at brainwashing and helping one overcome arrogance. It does a great job at inviting a woman to think of the spouse and his feelings more often - the invitation is very indirect. If you are aself centered woman like me, this will not only help you overcome your arrogance, but will help you rate it - I did not think I was arrogant till I read this. Even though it did not help solve a particular current problem, I think it may have helped stop a future one. I find new joy in prayer.

I absolutely love this book. I actually uses this book, I exercise the prayer mono log. Stormie book is scriptural and we can't beat that, because it is the Word that has the power to change your and my situation.Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice
