I have had this book for two months. It's a book with specific chapters for specific needs. It does not have to be read front to back. I recommend reading through the first chapter "His Wife". You think you're reading about how to "help" or even "change" your husband...you soon discover the Lord showing you things in your own life that need prayer and change! Don't you hate it when that happens? Me too. But, if you allow the Lord to speak to you through Stormie's writing and experience, you will not believe what happens! It is difficult to put into words the change that has taken place...in me. Attitudes, expectations, desires, wants, and needs, are all addressed. Biblically. I go to different chapters at different times on different days. Lately, I have been reading it along with Scripture in my personal time. I've known my husband since 7 yrs. old and have been married for 23 yrs. God is always faithful and always good. He will teach us if we take the time to listen. Married? Engaged? Hope to get married? Get this book. Then, read it. Then pray. Then apply it. God Bless.

I came across this book just in time(God's time that is). I was separated from my husband of 8yrs and had an appointment with my attourney already scheduled to file for a divorce. A friend reccomended the book and as soon as I read the first chapter, I knew I had to give it just one more chance. I wish I'd read it sooner but I probably wasn't ready to listen yet! Through this book, God gave me a whole new perspective and convinced my hard head that I needed to change, too, not just my husband. I had always prayed for our marriage, but the book outlined specific areas to pray for and included specific prayers and scriptures. I was too busy praying for what I wanted and not what God wanted. I thought that too much had happened between us for our marriage to be repaired and the only option left was divorce, even though I didn't want or believe in it. Stormie talked about some of the very issues our marriage had faced such as infidelity, financial trouble, a chronically ill child, loss of a child, mental illness, and many misunderstandings. It helped me to realize that our marriage was worth working on and that maybe God had a plan for us after all! It also helped to get my priorities straight and to build a stronger relationship with God, as well as with my husband. I thank God for moving Stormie to write this book and share this information with the rest of us struggling to make our marriages work! I reccomend this book to anyone experiencing marital difficulties as well as those who want to prevent them!

I've been a Christian for 36 years. I celebrated my 29th wedding anniversary this past August. I am an avid reader of books written about "Christian Living" or "how to" books, etc. NEVER before have I read such an "ON TARGET" book geared to the imperative need for prayer in the marriage and in the home. Medicine is not always "easy" to take. Sometimes we "forego" the medicine and think we can get "better" on our own. Sometimes, this may be the case...but in my experience I have found that this book is one that I definitely keep among my reference books. When I find a great book that has benefitted my life in some way, I usually like to recommend it to a friend or maybe buy it and give it as a birthday or Christmas gift. BUT THIS BOOK...I have bought nearly a dozen copies and given as gifts to friends and family. What I have realized is that when my husband seems to "deserve" my intercession (prayers) the least is when I should pray the MOST! When you interceed for your husband in areas of HIS life then you will undoubtedly benefit your own! If you cannot identify with the author's first chapter of the book (re: her own troubled marriage)...do not put the book down and say "I don't have THAT problem"...continue on - because regardless of your circumstances in life this book is a key that will help unlock the door of your mind to the endless ways that God desires to bless you and your husband and family. If there were a higher ranking than 5 stars, I would chose it. Every Christian woman who has a husband or is planning one day to have one, needs to get this book. Mine is dog-eared, highlighted, underlined, marked up with pen, pencil and with post-it notes. It is a treasured reference and guide book that I HIGHLY recommend.

I was struggling with my marriage until I was given copy of the book. It changed my perspectives of being a wife and got me on my knees. The day I started, I saw changes; changes first in myself, then in my relationship and finally with my husband. It's powerful! It's the most worthwhile investment I've ever made and I still use it daily.

Although I am not yet married, I believe the best thing to do for a "husband-to-be" is to show him the ultimate love language by praying. I have read this book 4 times, and I always gain new insight each time I flip through the pages. This book gave me new hope to a hopeless situation. I adapted "Change me Lord" to my life, and I am praying for specific items for the man in my life. Unfortunately he is not a christian as I am, but Stormie reminded me that with the power of God behind me, my boyfriend has a chance for eternal life. We are not able to be together at this time, but I am even more determined to lift him up to God in prayer. I don't understand why this had to happen, but it's our job to pray, and God's job to answer. I truly believe in my heart that we will happily be reunited again, and when that day comes I will know that God brought us together because of HIS will and not my own. I looked everywhere for a book that related to those of us who are not yet married, but are committed deeply to someone. I couldn't find anything, and then my mother gave me this book. She and her weekly bible study group were using it as a tool, and she thought that I might get some useful information from it. It has changed the way I pray forever. I appreciate how open and honest Stormie was about the trials in her own marriage. She opened my eyes to the power and the love Christ has for us. I highly recommend it to every woman who wants to build a lasting, loving, godly relationship. I look forward to reading more of her books! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

If your marriage is on shaky ground - read this book! If your marriage is happy and healthy - read this book! If you are planning on getting married -that's right, READ THIS BOOK!

We women may think we know and understand our husbands but believe me when I say, "We don't." Stormie will drop you to your knees in prayer to meet each challenge our husbands' face and it's so very different from what we face as women.

My husband and I separated 8 months ago after being together for 19 years. I was devastated when I learned that he was seeing another woman.

I have read many inspirational books during the past months, but all are pale in comparison to "The Power of the Praying Wife". A christian friend gave me this book and simply said, "Read it. It will make a difference in your life." She wasn't kidding.

Any of you who have gone through a tumultuous experience like I have understand the pain, grief and deep sadness it stirs within you. I find as I read each chapter, I feel as though God is lifting each layer of sadness from my heart. I feel as though the dark clouds of hopelessness are vanishing, and I feel a sense of inner peace that I thought I'd never regain - return!

Stormie, you have made me realize that I must change first through prayer before I can ask God to enter my husband's heart to change him. I also understand that what ever happens is God's will not my own for he knows what's best for both of us.

It's been 2 weeks since I first started reading this book, but I have to honestly say I see a tremendous change in ME and subsequently my husband is feeling this difference. He's showing subtle changes as well. As Stormie says we must let God do his work. His will be done through prayer and patience - that I do believe with all my heart.

Buy this book! It will be the best investment you ever made.

I received this book in the mail from a friend on the day my husband left me with the words "I want a divorce." I began reading this book and it has changed my life. (I'm now reading it for the 4th time.) My husband and I are back together and I'm afraid to let a day go by without praying for him. He has even written me notes thanking me for praying. Start praying for your husband today!

No amount of marriage counseling can turn your marriage around the way this book can! A friend gave me the book and it has opened my eyes, my heart and my mind. It has literally transformed my marriage from a loveless, hopeless anchor to a hopeful, God-filled, God-blessed, loving relationship. Granted, the road to a better marriage is a hard road, requiring a lot of hard work, but with Stormie's insight and carefully constructed prayers which touch on every aspect of a man's life, the road is downhill. Thank you, Lord, for working through Stormie to bring your teachings to so many women struggling in their marriage!

I went into the christian book store because I was searching. This was the only book on the shelf. Standing out like a becon to me. It was truely was a life changing book. I praise God that he used Stormie and her power of words and prayer. I now daily get on my knees and use her book as a prayer guide and 'teacher'. I feel that throught this book of prayer my marriage and Life has changed. So many prayers have been answered. I am on line now to order copies for my friends. I was thinking that I was the only one that wanted to start a praying wifes group in my home. Now I read here, many people are doing it! Let us make a staand through paryer against divorice and the enemey that makes it seem like the only was out! Thank you Stormie.

A friend of mine at church recommended this book because I was having trouble dealing with my decision to go back to my husband after a six month separation.

I have always prayed for my husband, but I wanted to see a drastic change in him. This book showed me how to look at myself and let God change me first. It also showed me how to take everything concerning my husband to the Lord in prayer so God could change him.

Now, I see very, very small changes in my husband, but small is big to God. I am trying to see my husband through God's eyes and love him through God's heart.
