5.0 out of 5 stars This changes everything
This line has a rounder profile than other braided fishing lines, causing less problems from spooling on spinning reels and running through lineguides. Due to its lack of stretch ( 98-99% stretchfree ) it is hypersensitive, with both bite detection and hookups being virtually instantaneous. Though some colours tend to bleed or rub off in use, that does not seem to have...

1.0 out of 5 stars Power Pro? I don't think so.....
I have been using Power Pro braid 50 lb, let me tell I believe there is a quailty control issues with power pro and I am not the only one. I have snapped the line on some 25lb fish, and I was completely baffled at first. How could this happen? 50lb braid should NEVER break, let alone just bringing in a 15-20lb fish. After a few uses the line gets much much weaker, there...

5.0 out of 5 stars This changes everything, January 1, 2011
This line has a rounder profile than other braided fishing lines, causing less problems from spooling on spinning reels and running through lineguides. Due to its lack of stretch ( 98-99% stretchfree ) it is hypersensitive, with both bite detection and hookups being virtually instantaneous. Though some colours tend to bleed or rub off in use, that does not seem to have any effect on the line's quality, as this stuff does not seem to deteriorate from one season to another. Also, as this line has about 1/4 - 1/5 the diameter of an eqivalent poundage of monofilament, lesser weight lures can be used with an equal ( thinner diameter ) test to fish deeper water. A few caveats to remember:

Use a monofilament backing of equavilent diameter - 25 to 50 meters - with spinning reels ( I can not comment on conventionals as I do not really use any ) to protect the spool from the pressure of this line and the possible effects of corrosion from saltwater trapped in it;

Use swivels whenever possible when joining the tag end to the leader of florocarbon or monofilament. This will aid in reducing line twists;

Use a knot specifically designed for this line or face the loss of terminal tackle AND/or fish - a LOT of terminal tackle and fish;

On spinning reels, close the bail manually and tighten the the first 6-10 inches of line on the retrieve. This will soon become second nature after the first 3-4 times if done consistantly;

Do not overfill your spool - make it a point to fill it only about 3/4 the way. This line is smooth enough to glide over itself for extended casts without being full like monofilament requires;

Above all, NEVER, EVER try to break this stuff with your bare hands: the low stretch, small diameter, and strength all combine to cut skin like a razor. Even when grabbed casually, expect a laceration of some type or degree.

If you use common sense and follow safety protocols, you will love this line, have fun and really appreciate this new ally in catching that fish of a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Braided fishing line Moss Green Line 50lb Test, June 25, 2011

It is all I hoped for. Strong and thin...very little resistance in the water. The only problem I've had was finding a good knot to fasten it to the mono leader. I landed up using inproved clinch on both sides. Slides through the guides easily as well as the line guide on my 9M. Line and knots held up well with a 38" blue fish. Recommend it as a buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fishing Line, May 16, 2011

I am a fan of braided line. This line was priced well and arrived at a reasonable time. I mostly do saltwater fishing from the shore, and this line will hold just about anything you hook into. If the fish does not cut the line, you should be able to land it.

I fish almost exclusively around oyster shells which can be very sharp and I love this line. It casts great even in the wind.

Redfish, trout, bluefish, flounder, small sharks, and longnose gar - this is the perfect line for me.

Ordered a spool of yellow braid because the stores in my area only carry green. The price was right and it came right away.
