Power Pro begins with ultra-strong braided Spectra Fiber, which is treated to create an incredibly round, smooth and sensitive line. The development of Vermilion Red Power Pro is based largely on the color spectrum in water. Since shades of red are the first color to fade, it is thought that by using red colored line, the angler's line will Disappear underwater. Truth be told, red does not disappear but in fact turns to a shade of gray. This gray tone will help to blind the line in to the background and become much less visible to most fish that swim. The color red will fade out at a depth of approximately 14 feet. Therefore, when targeting fish in depths of 15 feet or greater, Vermilion Red is ideal. Whether you are deep cranking for bass, trolling for lake trout, walleye or salmon; to bottom fishing in deep rivers...Vermilion Red PowerPro should be on your reels.

great all around machete!
I purchased this and received it ONLY 2 DAYS LATER and i made the purchase late on the 24th i received it early the 26th!!! Out of the box I was a little disappointed with the grip it felt cheap but after a couple hours of hard use the blade held its edge great and the grip now feels extremely solid. I think it was because i was used to a wooden grip. This is a great machete I highly recommend it

I'd pay way more for cold steel, but I didn't.,

Longer than a knife and shorter than a sword, this is your average size machete. The steel is strong and springy, and despite my abuse it has yet to show any bending like most machetes would get. I'm a martial artist, so I decided to practice my cuts with it on some tree limbs that fell in my backyard and was pretty pleased. If you're looking to chop down a tree, it'll be some tiresome work and you'll just dull your blade (I hacked at some thick stuff to test how deep it would cut)but if you want to take down foliage and branches, you'll feel like a lawn-care samurai. The handle is one of my favorite features, because you can tell by the look and the feel that they cared to fashion a good handle on a great blade. And while I doubt most people would care to throw a machete as a weapon, I've had a great deal of fun sticking this thing in a tree from a short distance, so you can see the tip is nice and sharp and the blade won't snap or permanently bend like the competition. All my machetes are going to be Cold Steel brand from here on out.

This is yer basic machete for trailwork, clearing brush & berry vines, etc. Much better than you can get at Wally-world or your local Ace hardware. Comfortable in the hand andf can be used all day; you'll give out before it does!Cold Steel uses good steel & makes solid blades- so that's what I've come to expect.
Shop around til you find one with a sheath included though. I was in a hurry when I bought mine & didn't realize that it came without from this seller. Bought it later so all is well. Bottom line: much better than you'd get at the hardware store for the same price or less. Gotta love Cold Steel!
