5.0 out of 5 stars So far so Good, August 1, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
so far we used this item 30 times and it saved us twice, once in a rv park who had their wiring wrong and once in a campground whose voltage was low.

Expensive?

Yep.

Cheaper than replacing the A/C or Fridge from low voltage or power surges, or worse the power flickering on and off? (wrecks the A/C)

you bet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Protection, January 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TRC RV Power Protector Surge Guard 240v, 50 amp, Model 34750 (Misc.)
I bought this Power Protector for a new Keystone Alpine 3500RE 5th Wheel. Although I thought it was a little expensive when I bought it, have no regrets, and I feel it is the best investment I made to protect my new trailer and all of the appliances. First, it is quite a bit larger and more robust than I thought it would be. It is built to last. I have had this plugged in to 15 Amp, 30 Amp and 50 Amp shore power, and to a single Honda EU3000 generator and to two Honda EU3000 generators running in parallel using a 50 Amp box adapter ( [...]). I have had one incident where an open ground in a RV park triggered the power protector. This unit has a built-in delay to protect air conditioner compressors from turning on immediately after shutting down. The delay is roughly three minutes and works great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product but pricey, May 20, 2011

Not much to tell about this purchase, but Amazon keeps harrassing me for a review, so here it is.

The protector hasn't tripped yet, but I assume that it will work if it has to. It is a little pricey, but assuming it does its job, it will be worht it if it is ever needed. I think of it like insurance.
