It's been only a week or two since my son (G1) received this set, but I already lost track of how many times he read them.

Yes, some of the words in these books are difficult for the beginning readers. But it's also very good practice because they will try to read unfamiliar words using various phonic rules.

My son was VERY motivated and eager to read "Big Boy Books". I worried because my son wasn't reading many books. But now that I realize he'll want to read more and more, as long as we give the books that he likes!!

My kids are 6 and 4 yrs old. My older son is a good reader but the vocabulary used in these books is really for older kids. I have to tell him the meanings for all the words and sometimes they are even difficult to read.

I bought these books after reading the reviews but they are not really for the beginning readers. My younger son enjoys these when I read them to him. He does not even want to try to read them.

My dear son is a Power Rangers fanatic...this was great low cost and includes stories from all the rangers. Its in a nice carrying case. As you may know there several different Rangers groups. It is definetly worth it.
