Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Some interesting ideas about the current world monetary system get lost in Krohn's lackluster second entry in his Dreams of Tomorrow series (after 2004's Eye of the Pyramid). Dr. Paul Malone, a physicist, has discovered a magical scepter with powers that will allow him to battle the forces of evil. As Malone struggles to master this tool, he must simultaneously arrange for the rescue of the woman he loves, waitress and aspiring med student Sally Whitaker, who, of course, has been taken hostage by the bad guys. The outcome will surprise no one, and the melding of the supernatural with political conspiracy is far less convincing than in other recent thrillers in the Da Vinci Code vein.

Review

The exciting sequel to "Eye of the Pyramid", Power of the Scepter is a thrilling novel following a contemporary physicist, Dr. Paul Malone, who discovers secret artifacts with immense power - capable of remote viewing and much more. Their power is coveted by the utterly ruthless Society, whose misdeeds span two millennia from causing the death of Christ to sponsoring Adolf Hitler. The Society sends a psychotic, murderous, genetically created mutant beast to retrieve what is theirs. Packed cover to cover with suspense, mysteries, and intrigue, Power of the Scepter is an enthralling and at times frightening read from cover to cover, not to be missed. -- Midwest Book Review

5.0 out of 5 stars great read, August 30, 2009
This review is from: Power of the Scepter (Dreams of Tomorrow) (Hardcover)
Gold, history, secret societies, politics, economics, science fiction,Tesla, it's all here in Terry Krohn's second book. This book is anything but "lackluster". More polished than The Eye of The Paramid, Krohn has followed up a good book with an even better one. This author does not bring any others to mind, he strikes out in a direction uniquely his own. He's one of those rare authors who's books I always buy new, rather than used, so that I can offer encouragement hoping for another new book to enjoy.
