I started listening to this and quit after awhile due to the sonorous sounds of this guy. The concepts are good but I think this guy must not have a wife, kids, a regular job, home repairs, etc. It seems he's got plenty of time to contemplate his navel. It's unrealistic for a person like me who is gone from 7 am to 7 pm on to a job downtown (that includes 1.5 hours commute time each way), and I am a homeowner (single family home). The home needs tending to. I just married a guy out of state so we talk every night. That also takes time. That's about my life right now and I will be moving to be with him soon and THEN I can slow down. But for now I can't, and this guy is kind of in la-la land.

I want to like this book, but in an unabridged form. I'm trying to slow down and savor my moments. Why is this title offered as an abridged version?

This CD set is an excellent source for everyone in this 24 hour rush to get a handle on their day and life to begin to enjoy the moment again.
I have bought this as a gift for several people who also said it made them look at the world and their time in a much more healthy and productive way.
I very much recommend this CD set.

Disappointed by this one. I don't see the value for the money in this. You don't really need somebody to teach you how to slow down. You just do it. You come up with your own ways of slowing down. Slowing down is simple, but not easy. So you have to work it out on your own. So, to be fair, some may find this a good audio book. But why pay to listen to somebody tell you how to slow down when you can just do it. Right now, for example, I can choose to type a little slower, and you can choose to read a little slower. Pause. Breathe. Let the slow revolution begin!
