Not sure if it just has to do with my hardware, but thought prospective buyers should be aware of this.

I just ordered a power supply directly from ATT for just $10 with free 2 day shipping so am I missing something? Did everyone here first go directly to the manufacture? Just wondering.

For less than half the price of an original manufacturers replacement power converter, this unit is smaller and has not had any problems since it's arrival. It arrived quickly and the 2Wire DSL wireless router was up and running immediately. Thanks again Amazon!

The output is only 1A (not 2A as the original 2Wire adaptor). Mine worked only for a few months and then burnt out. Since more than 30 days has passed from my order delivery the seller refused to send me a replacement.

A cheap fix for a problem that occurs infrequently ( at such a cheap price I bought 3 just in case ) I have modems in two seperate locations in the country so I have a spare power supply at each. ( Radio Shack doesn't carry these or any universal supplies that work. ( I'm told it has to be the exact voltage and amperage or you risk frying the modem.) Maybe I'm being lied to but why chance it at this price especially since it's worked for about a year so far.

After a year or so it went out again. These 2wire routers are notorious for eating up power supplies. The second time it went out I just went and bought a new router. If your power supply dies I suggest you just go by a different router. Unless you want to by a new power supply every year or 2.

This would not fit into the back of the router as described in the item description so I had to return it. I ende.d up having to buy a brand new router from AT&T

The power supply Alwayz-On-Sale sent for a 2Wire gateway was not what I ordered. It isn't the product in the picture. The one end fits the gateway, but there's no AC plug on the other end. It looks like I have to plug another cord into it that has the AC plug. I emailed the company and am waiting for a response.

Edit: Okay - I'm a moron. There's a snap-in AC plug in the package that goes with the other plug. All works fine. I've never seen a two part plug.

It's ok as replacement but unit itself sucks. At & T needs to work on weak unit and power cord.
