5.0 out of 5 stars A novel that is as wonderful as a great show!
Charmed is one of the best shows(next to the cancelled cupid and the awesome sports night)! This novel is written in the wonderful spirit of the show and is nice because they have not re-run the pilot. so it's great to be able to re live one of the best pilots ever. By the way, the pilot was the highest rated pilot for the WB ever. May be that's why they haven't...

3.0 out of 5 stars The book lacked depth
The book lacked depth and feeling. Being a fan of the TV series naturally led me to read the associated writings. But the book mirrored the show perfectly except the author couldn't paint a clear picture. I couldn't picture myself there. As if I were reading a restatement of facts.

Anyway, I cannot wait to read more Charmed books and i hope they are as witty, fun, and can't put down as this one was. Enjoy! Anyone who likes the show will love because you geet to go inside each sisters head.

5.0 out of 5 stars The power of three will set them free., January 12, 2001

This book was a real good read! Three sisters discover they have magical powers, one can freeze time, another can see the future and one can move things with her mind. However they aren't just any witchies, they are the charmed ones the most powerful of all witchies! Their magic comes with a cost though, a warlock wants their powers and he'll get them even if it kills them. The plot was understanable and enjoyable, the charcters are very real even just in a book. This book shows you alot more about the characters then the TV show. I reccomend it to all Charmed fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, some Recognition for the Charmed Ones!, October 30, 1999
By A Customer
To anyone who doesn't already know, Charmed is the best TV show ever made, so, it sort of goes with reason that Charmed, the book, is also Awesome. There is one thing about this book though... A few of the quotes, that are supposed to be the same as the tv show have been changed, to make the book more appropreat for younger children. But, the book is still really really good. If you don't have it, buy it. If you've never seen the show Charmed, Watch it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great introduction if you never saw the pilot., March 22, 2000
I just started watching the show Charmed this season, so I never saw the pilot. Therefore, I found this book very useful, and an enjoyable and entertaining read as well. Even if you have seen the pilot, it probably could add something, because it tells what the characters were thinking.

5.0 out of 5 stars How they got "Charmed", January 31, 2004
This book is based on the first episode of the hit WB Show "Charmed". It is about three dark haired sisters, Phoebe (the youngest sister), Piper (the middle sister) and Prue (the the eldest sister). They are the Halliwells. Phoebe had been living in New York while Piper and Prue live in their Grams' old house where they grew up in San Francisco, ever since Prue accused Phoebe of seducing her (now ex) fiancee, Roger, who is also Prue's boss at her job in the museum. When Phoebe returns home to live in the house with her sisters, she finds a "Book of Shadows" in the attic. After reading a spell to awaken the sisters' "powers", the sisters find out they are the Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches and that they descended from a long line of witches. Suddenly, Prue can move things with her mind, Piper can freeze time and Phoebe can see into the future. But a warlock is hunting them, as many will. Is it Prue's ex fiancee Roger? Is it Prue's old high school flame Andy, who bumped into Prue shortly after their power's were awakened? Is it Piper's sweet boyfriend Jeremy? Or is it the milkman or the paperboy or the baker? Because it can be anyone...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! Just like the t.v. show!, April 14, 2000
By A Customer
This book is just like the show! If you missed the first episode, this book is a great way to fill you in on what you missed. It is a cute and fun to read novel anyway even if you don't watch the show. In the story Phoebe reads an incantation that gives her and her sisters, Prue and Piper magical powers. They have to defend themselves against an evil warlock, and they don't know who it is. This book has a great plot, but be warned that you can definatly tell its part of a long series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charmed: The best book and TV show in the world, November 16, 2001

I absolutely love Charmed. Infact, I'm obsessed. If I miss a show, I go crazy. When its on, I have a wide smile on my face, and I keep saying, "I love this show! Its so awesome!" I wanted to know everything I could about Charmed, so I came here and I ended up buying every episode of the books! This one was great. I highly recomend this, along with all of the others. Its as if, Piper, Prue, and Phoebe came to life and I was living all of their adventures with them. This book is, by far, the best I have ever read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good beginning to the whole Charmed shebang., January 14, 2006
Despite being a play-by-play novel of the pilot episode, its still worth reading because on paper, you can feel, analyse and comprehend what the characters thought and felt. Its through this book that you can really understand what the sisters' reaction was when they found out about their extraordinary abilities and truths about themselves, and their tedious responsibilities. Gives you a clearer perspective of their powers and how they controlled them. Overall, a good book.
