Under the heading "customers who purchased this item also purchased" it lists Power Wheels 6 Volt Rechargeable Battery and Super 6-Volt Battery Charger. Do not order them for this item. They are not compatible. A battery and charger come with this item.

We got this for my daughter when she was 15 months. It took her a little while to get it all figured out, but it has a few problems. First, it has an all or nothing start button. When you push it, it goes. My daughter fell off the back the first couple of times. Second, it has no reverse, so stay close so you can get your little one turned around. Third, it has NO traction. Lastly, My daughter outgrew this toy in less than one year. By the time she was 24 months she was too tall for it. Her knees jam up into her chest if she tries to ride it now. My advise would be to wait until around 2 or 3 and just get a larger one they can grow with.

The Barbie Lil' Trail Rider is proven to be a favorite in our home. The downside is that it does not have a reverse option and, therefore, you can only move forward which is inconvenient.

My daughter got this for her 1st birthday and she loves it! She is still learning how to steer it but she fits on it well and loves to ride it. All of her friends that come over do too! It's a very popular toy at our house. It hasn't fallen apart on us and seems to be pretty durable. The battery, when fully charged, also runs for a very long time. I would recommend this for ages 12 months- age 3 but remember that at 12 months they probably won't be able to steer it themselves so you'll have to help them.

I just bought this toy for my 21 month old and she loves it...the only thing I wish it had was reverse because she always runs it into things and I have to turn her around or help her back it up...also definitely buy a helmet at the very least because it jerks on initial take-off and if your child isn't holding on well they could easily fall backwards off this unit...the best part of this toy is the ease of use and access of the power button for young children and the stability, even if your child has a little trouble getting on or off the quad doesn't tip over.

We bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday which was yesterday. She loves to climb on and off of it just after 1 day. She can't push the button herself yet but likes for us to push it so she can ride. She did accidently push it once and laughed when it started moving. After she realized the button made it move she pushed it and let off several times and laughed about it. I think she will really enjoy it this summer when she knows how to make it go on her own.

I bought this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday and she screamed with laugher when I put her on it! She doesn't really know how to steer yet, so I just turn the handlebar for her. A good speed, I wouldn't want her to go any faster. I was surprised that it even rides on grass, and goes over small hills. It is just her size, some of the other ride ons are so big that I'd need a bigger garage for storage. This is just the perfect size, and not too high off the ground either. It was between this and a tricycle, and I decided on the ride on vehicle because I don't think that she's ready for a tricycle yet- maybe next year. For now, this is perfect!

The front wheels do not have any kind of clips to hold on to the rest of the toy, so the front wheels keep falling whenever the child lifts up the trail rider.
