I bought this for my 5 year old daughter who is a light weight, but it is so slow even my skinny 3 year old son cannot get it up the smallest incline. I bought it with an extra battery but what a waste of money. My 3 year old has the jeep and it is so much faster and goes for quite a good time all over the yard. Save your money and buy the jeep!! Wish I could return mine now but I do not have the receit and its been a couple months now.

We bought this for our daughter's 3rd bday, and my son who was 2 got a boy version(cant remeber the name)but the barbie one didn't go near as fast as his. We have had no problems with it other than its not that fast!! She refuses to ride it and I am hoping to sell and buy her a boy version!! One with two speeds. Why don't they make girl ones that go faster?

I am in total agreement that Fisher Price Power Wheels is "sexist" as put by another reviewer above. These are much too slow, even for the most timid little girl! We took ours back and got our 3-year-old the Kawasaki for boys. It is sooo much better and I wish they would wake up and read these reviews and do something about it. I'd love to spend whatever to get my little girl a quad ride on that lets her keep up with her older brother on his! It's obvious a change should be made after reading all these reviews! Come on Fisher Price!

We purchased this Barbie quad for our 4 yr. old daugher and were very unhappy with the performance. With a 6 volt battery it hardly pulled her through the grass (she is an average 40lb. 4 year old). Our two year old son was the perfect size for this toy. It had enough power to pull our daughter on the driveway, but anymore than 25-30lbs. is too much for the voltage of this particular ride-on. If you're looking for a ride-on for a child over 3yrs. of age I strongly recommend spending the extra money to get one with a 12-volt battery. It makes all the difference!!Ours was ridden (mostly by our son) for only one summer and it will hopefully be sold in a garage sale soon. Live and learn!!!

We got this for our daughter on her 2nd birthday and she loved it. Now she is almost 4 and still loves to ride on it. At first she didn't look where she was driving, but it didn't take long for her to master driving it. It's also much easier to steer than the jeep type that has the round steering wheel. It's held up fine over 2 years with lots of use even when the kids purposefully run into each other. The only negative thing I have to say is that it does go quite slow in the grass. It's not going to be a good choice if you want your child to ride around in the backyard on it. But we live on a cul-de-sac so it's easy for the kids to ride around in the road. I would recommend getting a second battery so you can always make sure one is charged since they do take awhile to charge (or you may end up with a temper tantrum on your hands).

The barbie quad is way underpowered even for my 3 year old. If you want to use this off any hard surface, forget about it. It will bearly go. You're better off buying the 12 volt Kawasaki Ninja quad instead. I'm not sure why they made the girls Barbie quad 6 volt and the boys Ninja 12.

My daugthers uncle bought this for her first birthday we did not assemble it until she was 14 months and the first time she rode it she had so much fun, I was even able to ride behind her with my legsin the air. We opted for this one because the smaller ones are such a waste of money. You just need to supervise, but it's worthevery bit of the money.

I bought this for my 13 month old, at first she did not know how to use the pedal or steer, but now at 16 months old, she can now use the pedal like an expert and is somewhat steering good, she just doesn't look where she is going, but she loves it alot and the battery lasts a long time , I know it is for 24 months olds and up, but I just couldn't get her an itty bitty powerwheel knowing she would grow out of it in a few months, with this she will have use of it for a long time. She is always supervised so it is not a problem. So I recommend this to younger toddlers with great supervision. It is easy to put together , but don't let your baby see it because you have to charge it for 18 hours and babies have no patience.

We bought the item for our 3 year old's birthday. Three days later, a medal piece on the steering column, sheered off and made it so the item would not steer. We replaced the motorcycle with a new one (the same kind) and were not pleased with the power. Our 3 year old could not make it up the non sloped driveway (she only ways 35 pounds). We took it back to the store and exchanged it for the 12V Barbie Jeep. It is wonderful and works great!

I have been searching for a power wheels that my 5 year old could ride. Her skinny legs are too long for the jeep so I had to purchase something that would allow for this. I thought of buying the Barbie Trailblazer but I noticed that it only goes to 3.5mph. I bought the Dora ATV it has 2 speeds 2.5 and 5.0 mph with a 12 volt battery.I will let you know how it goes. (Santa is delivering it). Thanks to the reviews I steered clear of this purchase.
