I originally wanted to buy the Dora Power Wheels, but it seemed that it would not come in before my daughter's birthday so I cancelled my first order. Then I saw this Buzz Lightyear Power Wheels and knew it is more suited for a boy, but my daughter loves Buzz! On the night of her 2nd birthday we came home from Chuck E. Cheese and I had the Quad set up with a balloon in the living room and she screamed and ran straight for it. She sat on it and jumped for a little bit then saw the little red button. Once she pushed it and the quad lurched forward she was initially scared so my niece, who is 14 years old had to show her how much fun it was and rode it. Then my wife rode the little quad and let me tell you that this little thing is one strong toy. Now my daughter has a blast with this little quad and soon I will be upgrading to a larger one once she gets bored. I would recommend this power wheels to all my friends with little or maybe bigger kids.

This was a gift for my son's second birthday.

He instantly loved it! it is perfect for his size and he learned to drive it in a few minutes.

The disadvantage is that it can't go reverse, but i don't think at this age the kids will be able to maneuver it anyways.

I bought this item for my grandson for his second birthday and I placed it in our living room which is fairly big and I let him dicover it. He likes little trucks and anything with wheels! Once he saw the little atv he jumped on it (mind U I didn't show him it was powered) with his full safety gear he likes hats and knee pads witch helps and makes it easy to let him have at it.. So when he discovered the Go button is eyes lit up like spot lights and you could see his excitement and his response was Woah! After that I spent the whole day following him around the house, out front, out back, down the street, up the street, etc... I was impressed how that little battery out lasted him but when he went to sleep I charged it over night and the next day early (why do they wake so early?)he was up and we did it all over again great toy for a little boy or girl I guess! His dad got him home and called and told us that he wont get off it but it goes all day and I told him it's best to charge it up when he's recharging (resting) because you dont want the little guy not to have his wheels. It's just fast enough but I see in the future he's going to need something just a little more speedy, but that's what grandpa's are for.. Lol

I bought this same exact model at Walmart for $49. I don't believe it was on sale or anything, it was just that much cheaper.

Day one (7-26-2011)both babies were a little nervous, day two they both drove it enough to start running the battery down, they drive it indoors and out, my son is starting to get the turning down, so that great! no reverse, but at this age, it would be pointless, besides with the twins one will pull the other baby on the quad across the floor in reverse and they get to start all over again :) very happy with the purchase, we are looking to buy the barbie one next :)

This is a great toy...easy to assemble, cute, lots of fun. But, IT DOES NOT GO IN REVERSE. My son just keeps running into whatever is in front of him without being able to back up (we are using it indoors). Maybe with time he will figure it out, but it is kind of difficult for a 2 year old to back it up on their own.

Nice durable construction, easy to assemble. The only downside is there is not much room to put your child's feet when it's in motion.

perfect size for my sixteen months old son!! easy to assembly and he learned how to operate it the first day!... so you know this was his first power wheels toy. it does not have any more features (sounds, fun lights, etc) other than the engine button. but he has toy with a lot of fun features that he does not care about. he just want to be outside and for me this was a perfect toy for that. it does not go backward only forward but he makes u turns! so that's not a mayor issue.Speed is perfect too i don't have to worry about him going to fast. Not chasing him around! the only thing i did not like was all the stickers i have to put all over the toy. I thought all the color i saw on the ride was part of the ride and not stickers that you have to put on that eventually will peel off. Overall i think is a good first power ride.

easy to assemble, seems appropriate and durable enough for the published weight group. Like many toys, all the colors you see are stickers... it takes longer to place them vs. putting it together.

We got this for our son who is 19 months. We needed to get something because my 5 year old has a larger jeep and the baby was always crying because he wants to ride something as well. It is perfect for little ones. It goes slow and has only one button to make it go. So easy for them. My five year old jumps on it every now and then as well but it is way to slow for him. I highly recommend it for young beginners. We also purchsed the helmet and elbow pads.
