Bought one of these for my 4 year old grandson. Ended up buying two more for his brothers because they fought over it so much. They are 6, 4, and 2. They love their quads! So far, these battery cars have held up to the constant use and abuse three boys can dish out. If you are looking for a battery operated car, this one is it.

WOWZA! was the response of my 4yr old upon receiving this 4-wheeler. It's big, big like tip it on its side to get out the door because the wheels won't fit through the frame big. Much larger than the $75 one you can pick up at a super center. With the "bigness" established it's also pretty fast, 5 mph, which is achieved by turning the grip, like a real 4-wheeler. How awesome is that? According to a 4yr old...very awesome. It also seems pretty stable, it was ridden on some awkward hills and all four wheels stayed planted although one hubcap did fall off, it snaps right back on if you're not into that rugged bolt look.
On the assembly side it was pretty easy, one suggestion not in the manual..a wire runs from the handle bars and connects under the seat, make sure you have that wire fished out and attached before screwing the handle bars in place.. big pain if its not. One last tid bit..after charging the battery for the recommended 18 hours there was clear gooey stuff on the contacts of the charger and battery, called Hot Wheels and they said no worries, its a food grade lubricant used to stop corrosion on the contacts.

My grandson is only 2 but loves this 4 wheeler. He had a little 6 volt car that he rides but it always gets stuck in the grass and doesn't want to go uphills, even on concrete. I had to buy a helmet for this ride on toy, as my grandson goes full blast and even at 2.5 mph it's much faster than you think when you're chasing him. He hits my house will full force so the helmet is a safety precaution to make sure he doesn't get hurt if he gets thrown out. I know this is for an older child, however, my grandson is enjoying this so much because his little short lets don't stretch out far enough to reach some of the pedals on the other ride on cars/trucks/toys. With this the vehicle, you move it forward by pressing the pedal down on the floorboard.....so length of legs is not an issue for him because he's just pressing down instead of out in front of himself. He hasn't mastered turning the handle bars quite yet but has almost mastered the understanding of pressing the button to go backwards if he gets himself in a jam. The wheels are great in that they have great traction pretty much anywhere, short of wet grass. All-in-all I am thrilled with this purchase.
