2.0 out of 5 stars not what i expected, October 29, 2008
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Power X Wired Guitar Controller V2.0 for PS2 and PS3 (Video Game)
i bought this guitar so my friends and i could play at the same time on either my ps2 guitar hero 2 or my new guitar hero worldtour for ps3. first of all, my friends always complain that its not good and they'd rather use my other guitar. second, for some reason it doesnt work on my ps3, why, i dont know, and that was the whole point i spent 50 bucks on it. I'd look for an alternative.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only Wired Guitar for PS3 that works with rockband, September 15, 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Power X Wired Guitar Controller V2.0 for PS2 and PS3 (Video Game)
I bought this so I could play Rock Band on PS3 without having to deal with batteries. The guitar works exactly the same as the guitar that comes with rock band except for 4 things:

1) the effects switch seems to get set to a random effect every time you turn on the PS3 (if you move the switch to an effect and back to off you can reset it and then it works normally)

2) sometimes if you have two of these controllers plugged in at the same time one of them wont register as plugged in (if you unplug the guitar that isn't registering and plug it in again both guitars will work as normal)

3) the D-pad on the guitar doesn't work properly at all and i have no idea how to fix this (press right and the cursor goes up, down is down, but left and up dont work at all)

4)durring a solo you can't switch to the higher fret buttons and play all of it without strumming. I think this feature went unoticed in the creation of this guitar (I never used this ability any so it doesn't bother me any).
