Book Description

*Have you developed your sixth sense yet? Not sure what I’m talking about?*

That’s the first problem. If you’re a business leader or haven’t yet heard of this new movement, then you’d better keep reading! This book will introduce you to the invaluable business instinct that I call your sixth sense. You don’t have to be born with the sales instinct or the cutthroat drive required of successful businessmen and women; you can learn it—right here.

My unique approach to succeeding in the business world rests on the conviction that with persistence, practice, and a little inspiration, anyone can turn distress into success.

This book combines the most effective, innovative techniques related to all aspects of the industry. Investing in Sharpening your Sixth Sense is an investment in your future. *Let’s consider some of the countless benefits this book offers:*
• Candid insight on job market etiquette – what hiring committees don’t want you to know.
• Failsafe strategies to conquer procrastination, reign in distraction, and focus on your future.
• Expert tips on making networking work for you… both online and off.
• The truth about popular myths in the industry—like, is multitasking really a good thing?
• Help formulating an action plan that works (not like those resolutions you made on New Years—where’d you put that paper again anyways?)
• The conviction and self-confidence to land that business deal, ace that sales pitch, and rapidly climb the corporate ladder.

But this book extends beyond your business career. In order to be a successful business leader, you need to be successful, period. If you choose to accompany me on this odyssey destined for success and productivity, *your new skills will extend into all aspects of your life*. You’ll be more focused on the golf course. You’ll be more conscientious about taking out the trash at home. You’ll schedule quality time with your beloved spouse. With this little book, you will accomplish all of that and more. Don’t be afraid to dream big, and to chase after those dreams.

Maybe this ebook sounds a little too good to be true. I mean, I’m promising you a lot. But, that’s only because *when it comes to keeping promises, I deliver*. Every single time. This guide to business success is short and sweet: an easy read that is chock full of priceless information—information much different than your run-of-the-mill business ebook thrown together by a second-rate business writer. Very different. Take a look for yourself, I can tell you in good confidence that *it won’t disappoint*.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Done! July 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Sharpening Your 6th Sense by Michael Atlas
is an important planning resource for moving
your career forward. The author covers the
classic career stallers like analysis
paralysis, procrastination and even multi-tasking.

In this short work, the author calls upon people
to be more productive, set goals, apply discipline,
manage anxiety, focus their attention and cultivate
support systems.

The book covers personal marketing too. The author
suggests networking continuously, as well as
creating a Facebook page on your website.

There are other pearls of wisdom in the book.
For instance, people should avoid the comfort
and security of the status quo in favor of more
experimentation. Things like procrastination and
indecision should be avoided. Progress should be
journalized and tasks should be prioritized.

Sharpening Your 6th Sense by Michael Atlas
is a forward looking publication on moving
your career forward utilizing solid behavioral
precepts and technology like Facebook and
Linked In.

... with productivity gurus.

This guy leads by example. And he shares what he knows will help.

The skills the author had to acquire require work. But, this short eBook delivers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A business book for the real world July 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Most self-help books that concentrate on boosting productivity have two flaws. They are either written in business jargon that the average reader cannot understand or they do not address actual impediments to business productivity. The main focus of the book is to discuss how discipline can motivate individuals and make them more productive in the work place and in everyday life. This book is helpful because it addresses the myths we tell ourselves about being productive: if I just get up earlier, or if I just do more, or if I just have the time I could be so much better. The book breaks down these myths and gives practical solutions to boosting internal motivation. As a business woman I found the suggestions in the book helpful, realistic, and useful. It is always nice to have new ways to motivate yourself.
The book is short, informative and easy to read. The writing style is engaging and frank. Overall the punctuation, grammar, and mechanics of the book were good. I wish that the book was a little longer- and had more scientific studies and statistics to bolster claims made by the author.
If you are thinking of starting a business or if you have been in the corporate rat race for a while I think that this books will give you some new tricks to motivating yourself, your employees, and boosting your productivity and efficiency. This book would make a great gift for recent graduates as well.
I recommend this book to everyone looking for tips on how to be the best version of you.

In this book Michael has created a very handy tool which feels like a compilation of the many important things you need to do and think to stay successful and live a balanced life between work--and all of the other roles you play. In the chapter "Putting Everything in its Place" Michael has some solid advice for being pro-active and connecting work to exercise which I found very useful and practical. Michael's advice on getting over procrastination is something new and something I plan to now use. He walks you through a quick and easy exercise which helps you put into perspective the task you're procrastinating on and helps you get past the anxiety. As you know anxiety is at the root of procrastination. Overall I found Michael's book to be a good solid helpful guide and well worth the price he's asking. Now the big thing... because there are so many ideas in this book, I highly recommend you take notes while reading and write down any ideas and exercises which resonate with you. That will give you a very useful personalized tool to help you with your success.
