5.0 out of 5 stars MIGHTY POWER OF GOD
This book tapped into insights given in Scripture on how to pray the 'right' way and how we, as Christians, have 'missed the boat' in living and praying victoriously in Christ because we have missed something important. God gives us the power to be victors through Jesus, but we have not claimed the promises that God has given to us. This is a "how to" book...

1.0 out of 5 stars Unbiblical and Dangerous
This book is a terrible affront to historical, Biblical Christianity. Although there is much Scripture quoted and there is SOME truth properly stated, there is a subtle mix of lies that can only come from Satan. The power of the gospel is in what CHRIST did. It is not about OUR words. Read the entire New Testament and then read this book. If the Holy Spirit is in your...

This book tapped into insights given in Scripture on how to pray the 'right' way and how we, as Christians, have 'missed the boat' in living and praying victoriously in Christ because we have missed something important. God gives us the power to be victors through Jesus, but we have not claimed the promises that God has given to us. This is a "how to" book that is changing my life overnight! This book is also has incredible insights on FAITH. -- Guaranteed to change your life!

By A Customer
This review is from: Power Of Your Words (Paperback)
A most to those who need to know the 'power of the spoken word'. Our God created this earth by the Spoken Word. There is life or death in the power of your Tongue. With our words we can change the course of our life! Whatever we sow in words, or deed, we will reap! So learn to speak what the Word of God says about you, and you will begin to experience life and peace and change the course of your life by what you say about yourself and others. It works! I highly recommend this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Keep your Bible handy....., April 14, 2004
This review is from: Power Of Your Words (Paperback)
I haven't read the book in its entirety yet, but wanted to comment. When reading this book, I'd advise knowing the Word of God. While Kenyon makes great points as far as confession of faith in all areas of your life, he did give some nonBiblical advice. I would not go so far as to call it heretical, and I speak about this out of love. On page 19, he says, "We should never confess our sins to people... Never tell anyone about your weakness or about your past blunders and failures"... Now, the Word of God does not agree with this, for in James 5:16, it says - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. And in 2 Corinthians 12:10, it says - That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

We are to tell others of our past that God has delivered us from so that they can see His awesome work in our lives, and so that He can get the full Glory.

So please, I advise you to keep your Bibles handy when reading this book. Actually, keep them handy when reading a book written by any Christian author. Let God be your final authority.

God bless.

4.0 out of 5 stars One Confession Is Enough, February 1, 2002
By
Rosemary Brunschwyler (Homewood, Alabama, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Power Of Your Words (Paperback)
The main message of this book is that many Christians are in the habit of making two conflicting confessions. We first make a confession of the absolute truthfulness of the Word of God and at the same time make another confession that contradicts it. We may make a claim of a complete healing based on scripture while we are simultaneously confessing that we are still in pain. The authors show us how to overcome this bad practice and become more victorious in our daily lives. Several examples are given to reinforce their arguments.

The Power of Your Words reveals God's best kept secrets of how Christians are to take back our God given authority by choosing to speak His words CONSISTANTLY and not our own words.
When implemented these principals are life changing and enemy defeating. A Must read if you are experiencing lack of power in areas of your life.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Power of your Words, July 24, 2003

This paperback edition is easy to read- great for indvidualized personalization. Very practical and powerful. A fantastic tool to move from negative to positive. You simply begin where you are as you read page by page. It's sure to increase that mustard seed of faith within a person. Before a flower blooms it had to go through a whole lot of dirt. People bloom at different times as well. Each person is valuable. Thanks for your time.

I purchased this book because I have owned other books by E.W. Kenyon, and this title just jumped out at me, and I am so pleased with this book! It is loaded with scriptures, and points out the simplicity of the POWER of the WORD of God! I am very pleased with the book, and highly recommend it for your spiritual walk and spiritual growth. If we all paid any attention to what comes out of our mouth, we'd really WATCH what we say.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reminder Of Why Our Words Are So Important!, February 8, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Power Of Your Words (Paperback)
There was nothing "earth shattering" between the pages of this book, but it was a great reminder that God's words are the most powerful force in the universe. We can't overcome without saying what God says about us (we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony).

This is the kind of book that will always have a place on my bookshelf, so I can re-read it every now and then and get my batteries recharged.
