I bought this to use in my Velos grip for my D7000 since the Nikon battery is expensive. However, this battery does not work in the grip, but it DOES work in the camera by itself. When I use it in the grip, the camera indicates that there is no charge. Even if I select to use the camera battery first, and then the grip battery, the erroneous battery indication from this battery will not let the camera turn on. It says it has no power. But if I remove and then replace the grip, or put the battery straight into the camera body, it works fine and indicates a full charge. Since it works in the camera, I gave it an extra star, but it does not function to full expectation. I will most likely return this battery.

PS - Its not my third party grip that is causing the error. I've tried switching the batteries, putting the Nikon brand one in the grip and this one in the body, and it works fine. It also works fine with only the Nikon battery in the grip. I've tried every combination, and the only ones that don't work is when this battery is in the grip. Also, the brand says Power2000 here, but I was sent one by "High Voltage Technologies," but these cheapo Chinese knock offs are always relabeled so I didn't do anything about it. I'm sure the quality is the same regardless of what the box says.

I got one in a Cameta camera kit expecting it was a real Nikon en-el15. In less than a second after I disconnect it from the charger, it losses all its charge. Oddly, it doesn't heat up; it just doesn't work. The manufacturer, Vidpro Corp, includes the following in the packaging: "If, at any time during the 2 year period following the purchase of this battery, this product fails due to defects in material or workmanship, simply return the defective battery with proof-of-purchase and $8.95 to cover shipping, insurance and handling costs...". That sounds good, but I'm guessing the $9 dollars is about twice what Cameta gets them for, and to me about $9 dollars more than the battery is worth.

I probably got a lemon, but I won't be wasting any $$$ on power2000 batteries in the future unless I see evidence that the "lemon" rate is low.

Purchased this battery for my Nikon D600 on 10/2012, and the battery died two weeks ago on a trip. Unable to hold any charge and the battery is totally depleted. Lousy quality product.
