PowerBar ProteinPlus High Protein Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter, 2.75-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)

I am a power bar addict and I absolutely LOVE this one... However, the vanilla flavor adds to (rather than takes away from...) the typically "cardboard" flavor of a Power Bar. Oddly enough, this doesn't bother me! The vanilla is so sweet (and I am an admitted sugar addict) that it really does control that need for snacking. I usually split the bar... one half before my workout and one half after. I do agree that you MUST have water with one of these bars. It will sit like a ton of bricks in your stomach without the water. All in all, this bar is great. I can easily get through a long day or a tough workout with one of these.

I've tried many protein bars over the last two years and the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavored ProteinPlus Power Bars are definately the best I've had.

I started out eating the EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Nutrition Bars (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00007L64I/sr=1-4/qid=1129724511/ref=sr_1_4/104-3189383-4115126?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=3760931&s=hpc&v=glance) a while back during the Atkins craze. (I replaced my Pop-Tart breakfast with low-carb bars.) I liked them a lot until one day EAS decided to make their bars "better" by adding "goo" to their bars. The chocolate chip brownie and peanut butter bars, once staples in my morning diet, had fallen from grace.

Now I buy boxes of ProteinPlus Power Bars (12 bar variety pack) from Sam's club ($14 and change), and the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavored are definately the best. I came to Amazon looking to see if I could get boxes of just this flavor. I also buy Snickers Marathon bars, which are glorified candy bars, and the Peanut Butter power bars are definately in the same flavor league as the Snickers bars.

The Cookies and Cream flavor are also good, but the Vanilla Yogurt flavor don't do much for me (thus the peanut butter only search).

The new and "improved" Protein Plus PowerBars are much drier than they were before though they are easier to chew (as advertised). Plus one gram less of protein than before.

I purchased these protein bars to save money from the price I normally pay for them. They came from Amazon and not a third party seller. This was my first time ordering from Amazon and was disappointed in this item only! Unfortunately, they were extremely stale. I looked at the expiration date on the product and it was fine, however, I think these items were frozen and thawed out or they sat in a very warm area of a warehouse and dried out beyond tastefullness! I had a few other people who always eat these try them and they said they were not good AT ALL! I will not order food type items from you again, but will definitely keep shopping at Amazon.com. It's great otherwise! Keep up the good work on your prices, items and service. I would take a look at your food storage though.

Protein Bar, Vanilla Yogurt is my favourite energy bar. I eat it after a workout or a run. It tastes good, it takes time to eat (which is good!) and gives a fullness sensation. I particularly like the high protein concentration as opposed to other bars that have more of a carbohyrates emphasis. The pack of 12 lasts me two to four weeks and is a good bang for the buck.

I really enjoy PowerBar ProteinPlus bars - but rarely buy them except when they are on sale. Purchasing them through Amazon is like having a sale everyday. I used the subscription for these PowerBars and reduced the cost even more. I have also purchased 2 other flavors. The Toffee Nut arrived the quickest. I have many food sensitivities, and these products do not trigger them. I feel vey happy to have them.

I wanted some extra protein for my workouts. Saw these on a gold box special at a great price and I bought them. I really don't like the taste, compared to other high protein bars I have tried, but they had great nutritional benefits. I would not buy these again though, due to the taste for me.

If I eat one of these bars at 7:30 am after a workout, I am not hungry until lunch, or around 11 AM. The bars taste fine, and if eaten with some kind of drink, won't sit heavily in your stomach. Good Stuff.

This is a reasonably good enough power bar for those times when you can't eat a real meal. Good texture and satisfying.

I love the chewiness and the texture of these powerbars! They really taste like a candy bar and they're very healthy. I don't like the reduced sugar version though.
