I loved this little thing! I was in the market for a small but powerful vacuum for my small bedroom carpet. The first thing is that I paid under $50 for it and it came with small combo stick vac. What a great bonus. I first tried to find out what the amp was since it did not display or advertise it. As I suspected it was only 7 amps. Most compact vacs are at least 10 amps. So I was suspicious that it would not work well. This was purchased only for my small room. So I decided to give it a try because of the views I read at Walmart.com. To my surprise the cup was almost full just from vacuuming the doorway!! I continued to vacuum the entire room and had to empty the cup twice. It was amazing! That little thing totally picked up everything that was resting in that carpet. I actually emptied it three times but the last time I just went over the room to be sure it was cleaned and it was only half full. This is the best purchase of a vacuum I have had in a long time. It is so awesome! I am so very happy with this vacuum. I do not think it would last for an entire home but for a two bedroom home with not very much carpet I think it will do well. It comes with a crevice tool and a brush. I was also able to clean my ceiling fan blades! Just a great compact vacuum cleaner! Bissell PowerForce Compact is a Powerhouse! Since I just purchased this item I will have to see how it holds up over time. If it does fall apart after a short time I will have to update this review. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

Generally when I review a product anywhere, I try to give both sides of it: What I liked and what I didn't like. With this product, however, there is nothing to like. If you are a progressive minded person, then this maybe the vacuum (note I omitted the word cleaner) for you as it does not so much seek to remove the dirt as to re-distribute it evenly throughout the room. It works much the way a bureaucracy does. You have to expend thrice the amount of energy to get anything done, so that what should take fifteen minutes ends up taking forty-five as you continue to go over the same areas again and again and continue to accomplish next to nothing. General George Patton would just shoot this machine, him not liking to chew the same ground twice. And not only is this, let's just call it a house dirtier, a wonder of contradictions (a labor saver the works you to death, a time saver that costs you you time, etc.) but it is an absolute marvel of bad design. From the weird, bulldozer like scoop on the bottom (for re-distributing that dirt) to the funky, cheap plastic wheels that start flying off with any little excuse of age and wear, to the nubby stubs that keep the cheap plastic attachments (cheap brush and spare suction head) flying off in order to keep you bending over to fetch them, there is not one thing about this dust spreader that does not suck, that is, except for that part that's supposed to. It has not one redeeming quality, not even the price. They should pay you to use this machine. In fact, I'm not even sure it is a machine. I think of it as being more like an implement of torture. In any case, if you are looking to save a buck on a cheap vacuum cleaner, keeping looking. As stated, this thing does not qualify as a cleaner of any kind. Now, if you're a farmer looking to re-distribute some top soil...

I was a little surprised by some reviewers that couldn't find one good thing to say about this. I wouldn't give it 5 stars, but it certainly deserves more than one or two. First off, we were looking for something that was very light and inexpensive to occasionally clean a RV that we use 3 months out of the year. This cleaner fits the bill! We have used it three times and have picked up a full cup of Florida sand and dust. It has a very good vacuum and a power brush and leaves the carpet looking great. It did stir up some dust the first time we used it, but I think that was because our old Hoover stick broom hadn't been very aggressive.
It has a vacuum hose and two attachments. The crevice tool works fine, but we haven't tried the brush. It does make noise like a cleaner but it's not unusually loud. It doesn't have height adjustments per se. It does have two wheels and a plastic slide plate that holds the brushes at the right height. If you were buying something for long nap carpets or a full sized house, you might want to spend more, but we are very satisfied. The The 40 dollar price at a local store was fine with us too. We are glad we bought it. If something happens that changes our mind, we will "revise" our review.

This vacuum is lightweight, like one of those push popper toys, and just about as effective at cleaning. I should have trusted my instincts and returned it immediately to the store as soon as my husband put it together. The cleaning cup didn’t fit snugly and the hose seemed slightly too short to stay put. But my old vacuum had just died in the middle of cleaning and I was ready to call it a day.

I purchased this for a small apartment. With my old machine I could clean almost the entire space without having to unplug. With this one, I had to unplug/move four times because the cord is super short. Annoying, but I only vacuum once or twice a week, so I decided I could deal.

I also thought I could handle the animal growling noise it made and the hose that kept popping out of place.

Fast forward a few months:

The machine is louder than ever, the hose has zero suction, and the bottom is spitting out dirt/debris.

I surrender.

We just bought a new vacuum.
