The PowerGlove heart rate monitor calories burned, heart rate, and target exercise heart rate right at your fingertips. Unlike other chest strap monitors, the PowerGlove can easily be slipped on over your left hand and worn during workouts or daily activities. The left hand feature is designed to accommodate racquet sports and to provide the least interference with hand functions. The single glove uses an embedded sensor like the ones found in hospital heart rate monitors. It also features a bright, easy-to-read LED display on the back of the glove that can be seen day or night. It features a lightweight, breathable fabric that's easily cleaned after heavy exercise.
With its one-ounce total weight, you'll hardly even know you're wearing the PowerGlove. It's designed to operate continuously for about three hours on a single charge. When finished exercising, simply plug it in like a cell phone to recharge it.
Daily Exercise Calories Burned
The Power Glove allows you to determine how many calories you burn in the course of any activity that elevates your heart rate, from intense aerobic activity to routine daily activities such as moving around the office or doing work around the house.
Total Daily Calories Burned and Basic Metabolic Rate (BMR)
This function takes your BMR, which is a prediction of how many calories you will burn based on your personal data input, and adds the Daily Exercise Calories Burned to show you your total caloric burn for a day. This complements the Exercise Calories Burned Per Hour feature of the Power Glove by showing an estimate of the total calories you would burn daily. This is particularly useful for those trying to count calories and lose weight through a program of diet and exercise. As you exercise, the Power Glove will automatically add the calories you burn to your daily total so you can see the cumulative results of your efforts.
Average Heart Rate
The Average Heart Rate feature displays your average heart rate over time. Average heart rate is an overall indicator of your fitness. Typically, a lower heart rate is indicative of a healthier heart. One measure of an exercise program's effectiveness is a decrease in average heart rate as your fitness improves. The Average Heart Rate feature can also provide an indication of "over exercise" if your heart rate measurement is 5-10 beats above your average heart rate for an extended period of time.
Minimum Heart Rate
The Minimum Heart Rate feature displays your minimum heart rate before each reset of the Power Glove monitor. As you see improvements in your cardio and fitness levels, you should see your minimum heart rate decrease over time.
Maximum Heart Rate
The Maximum Heart Rate feature displays your maximum heart rate before each reset of the Power Glove monitor.
Target Heart Rates
Based on your personal data, the Power Glove monitor will automatically calculate optimal heart rate exercise zones for you in order for you to achieve the maximum health benefits from your activities. Track your performance directly on the Power Glove display to stay within the fat burning or cardio conditioning zones.

I have had 2 of these units. Returned the first one because ultimately it wouldn't turn on after about 4 weeks of use. Very frustrating device. Took forever to turn on, and was intermittant in its readings. Returned it for an exchange and same problems. Not ready for prime time. Don't waste your time. Have returned it for a full refund.
Be aware that the warranty is only for 90 days with a 30 day money back guarantee. Not good enough for an $80 device. Customer service however was very responsive.

My kids gave me this glove as a gift yesterday. I do a lot of running on my spare time and I must say I'm pretty impressed with this product. It has a really awesome and neat display that is easily readable. But the best part of this product is now I can get my heart rate and calories burned without wearing that annoying chest strap!!!!

had trouble keeping a pulse with a chest strap HRM, the PowerGlove is so easy to use and provides a constant heart rate
