3.0 out of 5 stars Not up to par with Logic Games Bible, but still worth it
I ordered this thinking that it contained the LSAT questions, their setups, and their answers. I guess I didn't read the description well enough, because it really has only the setups for each problem. I wasn't too upset about the lack of actual problems--the majority of those can be found in the 10 LSAT (10 More and The Next 10, I think) books--but I was really...

I ordered this thinking that it contained the LSAT questions, their setups, and their answers. I guess I didn't read the description well enough, because it really has only the setups for each problem. I wasn't too upset about the lack of actual problems--the majority of those can be found in the 10 LSAT (10 More and The Next 10, I think) books--but I was really disappointed that they didn't have explanations for every answer like in the Logic Games Bible. Overall, the individual setups are much shorter (about 1 page/game) than in the LGB (several pages/game). There were explanations for some answers, but not for all of them. For someone like me, who's not exactly a whiz at Logic Games, though, it's worthwhile. Basically, I love the LGB and think a mediocre supplement is better than no supplement at all.

Good luck on the LSAT!

3.0 out of 5 stars Inadequate, May 23, 2008

I bought this book about a month ago to help me understand some of the past games. The fact is I thought the book's set-ups were quite inadequate. Each set-up only contained a few sentences. In addition, the solution to some of the questions aren't even included with the set-ups, which coincidentally were always the ones I had problem solving. So while the book is better that nothing, don't expect to understand all the games given in the time period by just reading this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars embarrassment, June 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Over the past four months I have been studying for the LSAT's and purchased nearly every Powerscore book there is on the subject. All three bibles were amazing and well written, and while the Decunstructed books had many typos, it was still very good. This book however is an embarrassment for the Powerscore company. I read all the reviews about this book, about how it doesn't give the problems and typos, but I bought it any way because I only needed it to show me how to diagram the games ( I already had the questions so that wasn't a problem). This book doesn't even do that. At random times throughout the book it will show you how to diagram the local questions and it will either stop in the middle or it will show you some but not others. Worse still, There were a few times when it set up the global diagram and it explicitly says that it will show the final diagram later on (for example after an inference is made in question 21) and it moves on to the next game without ever addressing the question later on or even the final diagram. There were many such inexplainable oversights in this book and it did not serve even my most basic needs. From a company like Powerscore that publishes very good material, this book should be discontinued until they fix it up. Very disappointing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice supplement to Logic Games Bible, but not enough, November 10, 2008
I recommend this book to students who want more guidance than the Logic Games Bibl. As a professional LSAT tutor, I've seen students literally go from only 10 or 11 right on the games section to 18 or 19 right, and above, after working with me out of the Logic Games Bible. This book demonstrates setups, but it doesn't teach them. As such, this book alone is inadequate.

2.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat useless, August 19, 2009
By
I absolutely love all of PowerScore's products, so giving this guide a low score hurts me. A lot of places advertise the Setup Guide as a perfect companion to to the Logic Games Bible. But even when those two books are combined, the Setup Guide is still pretty useless. As others have mentioned, there are no questions or answers. Those could not be included due to licensing issues. Only thing that is included is how to set up the questions. So needless to say, it is ridiculously useless on its own or with the Logic Game Bible. The only way it is useful is if you are planning to take practice LSAT exam after practice LSAT exam. You will need to buy these exams though, and surprise, all of them are available on the PowerScore website. If you REALLY need all the help you can get with the logic games and have an unlimited budget, this product might apply to you. Otherwise, spend your dollars elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not waste your time or money!, April 11, 2009
By
I rarely ever write reviews on here, but for this book I have too. This book is a complete waste of time, money and paper. What good is a book of answers without the questions? What good is a book full of diagrams without questions and nothing more than what is the right answer with no real explanation of anything?

I cannot believe that anyone was actually paid to write this piece of dribble.

Shame on you David Killoran for writing it and shame on PowerScore for allowing it.
