I'm an avid runner (roughly 6 times a week)and these socks are durable and perform well.
They are vented just enough to allow my toe box to breath. So, no soaking wet socks after a long run in the humid southern conditions.
Also, this might sound strange but these socks are easy to identify after being washed and dried. Everyone in my family (four of us) is a runner, but we all have different sizes of socks. These actually say the word 'large' on the arch area and its easy for me to pick them out of a load of laundry.
Although not as nice as a pair of smartwool socks, they are also about 25% of the cost of smartwool. So, for an excellent steadystate sock for a daily runner, these work great.

I don't really know what I did with my life before finding PowerSox Powerlites. It's all just a big blur of bad sock-buying decisions and unhappy feet. But thankfully those days are over. I own some of the no-shows and these lo-cut kind as well, and both are really outstanding. They retain their shape, color and cushion through many wash cycles. I really like the sheer feeling of the top portion of each sock (the part that goes over the top of your foot). It allows just enough air to get to my feet that they stay cool.

Based on the great reviews and my past purchases of Gold Toe socks, I purchased 12 pairs of their PowerSox. I was very disappointed with them.

I found them to be very undersized. The packaging states that the large size socks should fit shoe sizes 9 to 12 ½. (I wear a size 11 Wide shoe.) I compared them to a new pair of Gold Toe cotton athletic socks I have and found them to be nearly an inch shorter and nearly an inch smaller in circumference.

I wore a pair of these socks with a pair of athletic shoes for four hours and had to take them off because they were so tight. I felt like I was wearing compression socks they give you at the hospital. I tried putting them on later in the day, but again had to take them off after an hour because they felt so tight. I wore them at the gym the next day and had the same compressing experience. I couldn't wait to get them off.

While they appear to be well made, the fabric is very thin. My experience at the gym was that there is little cushioning compared to the cotton sox despite their "Contour Cushion System" claim on the packaging.

These socks contain no cotton, just a combination of four synthetic fibers. The synthetics are supposed to combine to provide "Moisture Management Fibers" to wick away moisture. I own athletic shorts and shirts that have a similar feature and they seem to work well. However, I am doubtful of how well this would work on socks since shoes would prevent much of the moisture from escaping into the air.

I have worn Gold Toe dress socks and athletic socks for decades and have been happy with them. However, I don't like their PowerSox and I will be returning them.

I spent many years exercising in cotton socks, until one day I discovered these. Like all the other pleased customers here, I find these to be far superior to the standard gym socks of days past. They provide excellent cushioning and breathability, do not collect sweat or that funky foot smell, and are snug around my arches. I have a size 9.5 standard width foot and the large size is perfect. They are also a great value, far more reasonably priced than comparable socks you can buy at specialty running stores, yet with all the same performance features. I will be a repeat customer of this brand for as long as these socks are made!

I love the feel of these socks but have shifted to darn toughs. The reason is that sooner to later all of my pairs end up developing a hole right at the intersection of the gray heel knit and the top white knit.a clearly that spot is a source of strain and the sock knit doesn't seem up to handling it. Some Paris show a hole there after only one or two wearings. If the manufacture could solve that problem they would have a great product.

While on travel, I took a chance and bought a pair of these socks on clearance at a sports store and I have been hooked since. I used to pay extra for Thorlo; however, imo PowerSox offer comparable, if not, better quality than Thorlo or Nike at this price point. As a limited/light runner (15-20 miles/week), these socks represent a real value!

These socks hug and cushion. They stay right where you put 'em. I don't think it's possible to get a blister with these. Sent some (black crew) to my old Army buddy in The 'stan he humps in 'em daily and raves about these more than I do.

This was my first pair of running socks. I wanted something to keep my feet dry during runs without spending a ridiculous amount. They fit true to size (I'm a size 12 and ordered the 10-13) and they fit well. The bottom provides some extra cushion without adding too much bulk. The top is thin with an area that is very breathable (almost mesh like) on the top behind the toe box. They do a great job of keeping the sweat away from my feet to keep blisters at bay. I average about 4 miles/run, so I can't give input on distances farther that that, but for me, they are exactly what I was looking for. I've been using these three pair about 4 times/week for the last month and they are holding up so far. I'll update later if the longevity seems abnormal for socks.

Got a free pair in 1999 at a road race. I was amazed at the brand and how it good it is and its not at a running shop. Once that one pair wore out I bought a few at at a local sporting shop. Since then I didn't have a need because I had a bunch of free socks. Well a few had to be retired and when I looked around other brands they were too expensive. I went right back to PowerSox! Got me 6 pairs. 3 mid, 3 lows. I am good for a few years! Great socks. You will not regret it. I trust this brand 100000%

As comfy as work out socks come for the price. :) Make my feet all sorts of smiles.

Told a dude I play bball with about them b/c his socks were giving him problems. Came back next week and hugged me. haha

These are slightly different than the ones in Kohl's though, as they have these air pocket things. Haven't really noticed a difference, good or bad - still great socks.
