This is a great device that on the first full charge got me an 81.93% efficiency rating. The industry standard seems to be about 70% so 81.93% is excellent. I am very happy with my first test. However, it was not lightning fast as the box said. It seemed to be getting about an 8 MAH's per minute charge rate. I have a Duracell product and it get's double that. However, the Duracell only got me a 73% rating and cost 70% more than this one plus is only 4,400 MAH where as this one advertises 12K. So, as far as speed goes, some are better and some are worse. I did double check to make sure I had my devices in the 2.1 slot so that was not the issue. Now, here is how I got the above rating.

I fully charged the Poweradd before using it. Once is said 100% I unplugged it from the wall and:

Charged my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which has a 4600 MAH battery. It started at 4% and went to 100% which is 4,416 MAH's discharged from the Poweradd

Charged my Nokia Lumia 1020 which has a 2,000 MAH battery. It charged from 3% to 100% for a total of 1,940 MAH's.

Charged my Kindle Fire HD 7" with it's 4,400 MAH taking it from 10% to 89% for a total of 3,476 MAH. At this point the Poweradd went dead.

That is a total of 9,832 MAH's discharged from the battery pack. It has a 12,000 MAH battery so I got a return of 81.93%

There was another problem and I would have taken off a star for it but I was so happy with the efficiency rating I didn't dare. I thought once the Poweradd got to 1% it was going to be very average. The reason is because at that point I was getting a rating of 69%. It stayed at 1% for a long, long time.

I was always crying about my phone discharging kind of quickly.
So the dear wife got me this from Amazon about 2 weeks ago.

Really liking this charger even though it's pretty hefty I just keep it in my travel case.
Quite a few people have asked me where I got this and pointed them here.
Even used it to charge a fellow travelers iPad in the airport last week.
The gal went on-line right there and ordered 2 from Amazon LOL...

Even though I'm not an iDevice user this item looks very Applelike.
On the bottom it even says for iPad...etc...

It charges my Nokia windows phone very quickly.
I haven't dropped this charger to zero yet because it seems to take a long time to get low.
I get 8 days of top ups with this so I'm judging it a fantastic 30 dollar investment!

Very highly recommended for power users on the go with few places to plug in.

Have a great day everyone!

I received this battery pack a few days ago, and i can say i love everything about it, except for the skull, but I knew that in advance, so it doesn't bother me too much. It arrived with 48% charging capacity. What really impressed me is the inclusion of a lightning (iPhone 5, iPAd mini) charging adapter. I have 8 or 9 different battery packs all from different manufacturers, and this was the first one to include a lightning adapter, so i can use a much shorter cord, instead of the 3 foot cord that came with my iPad mini. Another thing that was a first to me as far as battery packs go was the digital display, which is very accurate, and convienient. Unlike other battery packs that have 4 leds to tell you the charge in 25% increments, this one gives you 1% increments, which is extremely helpful because i know exactly how much power I have when I'm on the go. My only other complaint about this battery is that the input is limited to 1A, meaning it would take 12 hours to charge his with a 1A wall adapter, or 24 hours with a computer. It also has only 1 USB port, but i outputs at 2.1A meaning it can charge a tablet as fast as your tablets wall adapter, if your tablet is micro USB or an iPad.I plan to test it out fully in the next few weeks to get a sense of exactly how much power this thing can provide. I usually assume that about 20-30% of power is lost in voltage conversion. Meaning thatthis device technically provides about 9,000 mAh of power if 25% is lost in voltage conversion. That 9,000 mAh is still a lot however, as that is about 2 full iPad mini charges, 1 full iPad 3 charge, or about 6.5 iphone 4S, or 5 charges.

The product claims to have two USB ports, one with an output of 1 amp and the second an output of 2 amp for IPads and Tablets. The device is labeled as such but in fact does not produce 1 amps and 2 amps respectively. In fact both ports put out at times 1 amp but then drop to between 0.5 and 0.8 amps with a voltage starting at 5.11 volts and under load drops to 4.95 volts. I first got concerned when I was charging my Tablet and it took between 3 & 4 hrs to charge my Samsung 8.0 tablet just half way. so i tested it on the other USB output port. No difference in charge time. But my wall charger would charge it in half the time. So I purchased a device on ebay to test the voltage and current of USB ports called a Port Doctor. what i found was no difference in output even though they are clearly marked 1 and 2 amps. This is either a defective device or false advertizing. I would not have purchased this If I was aware both ports put out less than 1amp charge.
