By the Torin, which is what I did after buying this junk.

At the other end, where the screw goes through the body and does the lifting, it is just metal on metal and gets very hard to turn once the jack starts to load up.

It looked fine to me and when we received it, it was just that.

This jack has unsealed bearings at the thruster end (near the handle) which quickly get dirty, lose their grease and lose their effectiveness. At the other end, where the screw goes through the body and does the lifting, it is just metal on metal and gets very hard to turn once the jack starts to load up.

I use it as an emergency jack for my small travel trailer; I hope I never have to use it because it's a pain.

Handle so short you can not get any leverage. Could not even jack up a small car high enough to change a tire. Save your money and buy something else this is pure junk!

I bought this jack for emergency purposes. I had a chance to use it recently, and I was very disappointed. The handle is very difficult to turn. I would return it, but the postage-paid return date has passed.

I feel sorry for anyone that orders this jack. It is a useless piece of crap and a pain in the A** to use. By the Torin, which is what I did after buying this junk.

This jack has a sturdily constructed and rigid frame and a fairly wide base. This is critical when jacking up a 3300 pound car that you're going to slide underneath, which is why I bought it. Unfortunately it is almost unusable because of the abysmal quality of the threaded rod that provides the mechanical advantage to lift the car. This rod should be absolutely straight with precisely cut threads and a polished finish so as to reduce friction as it screws through the threaded socket, opposite the crank side of the jack. The threaded rod in the jack I received is slightly bent and is rough-finished and pitted all along the threads. With the jack starting all the way down, during the first 1-2 inches of lifting, the crank was hard to turn, with no load on it, even after I lubricated it. Also it would be a lot more useful if the crank handle was long enough to reach more than 12 inches under the car.

I had a sissors jack as part of my car that froze up so I wanted to replace it. I bought this one. Right out of the box it was a problem. The jack did not appear lubricated in any way and when I went to open it up a bit to get it to the approximate height of the car jacking spot, it was a real fight. The jack was so tight I really at to fight with it the whole 2 or three inches. So then I went and lubricated every moving spot - it helped a little but not much.
The real problem came when I tried to jack up the car. I thought that that the handle they gave you would work better than the one on the jack that came with the car but I was wrong. There is NO way to get enough leverage with the handle that came with this jack, to jack up the car. If I was stuck somewhere and only had this handle, I would be in trouble. I had to get a screwdriver and turn the jack screw with that, half a turn at a time, to jack up the car.
I'm sorry I bought this. If I had not lubricated it, I would have returned it to Amazon. Now I have to carry a big screwdriver in the car to use on this jack.

What a rip off. This product was not worth the price. The instructions in the package are very lousy. Not recommended.
