This is a great tool it very securely locked into my tired lifters in my old Ford 6 cylinder engine. It took several pulls to release the old lifters that had colapsed a little making them very firm to remove. This tool got all 12 out and then proceeded to self desctruct, the "T" handle broke off. anyway mission accomplished on this one job but if this were an every day tool I would have been much more soar about it failing.
Still good value for money, saved a lot of time in pulling apart the whole bottom end to the old lifters out.

I needed to replace a set of lifters on a head that I had just had redone, and since the engine was still in
the car space was limited. This device was just perfect for the job!. It grabbed hold of the lifters and removed
each one out with no hassle at all and then replaced the old lifters with new ones with the same amount of ease.
I would highly endorse this device to anyone who has lifter work to do.

I purchased this tool to remove the lifters on a 1987 jeep 4.0 that I couldn't get the lifters out of. I didn't want to pull the engine so I thought I would give it a try. when I got it in the mail I didn't think it would work, about 2 minutes later I had the lifters out. This is a must have tool for anyone removing lifters if only for the time savings.

A good low cost tool for the lifters, easy to use . the cost is such that if you mess it up your not out a bunch of cash.

This lifter puller is a simple design. The bottom tabs are spread by pushing the red knob down and pulling up on the grip. I say "works ok" because on my small block Chevy Gen I it didn't actually grip the lifters. I couldn't seem to get the tabs under the lip. I then used it on a motor that still had the heads on it. With a minor modification of bending one of the tabs I was able to get the lifters out, however, again, the tool never actually got under the lip to firmly grasp the lifter.
For the price, this tool is worth money.

I had some stuck lifters that I couldn't get out. This was able to reach through the head, and grab onto them.

Only con is the T handle is very weak. Others reviews said it broke on them, for me, they bent. But I used some channel locks to assist me in getting the lifters out using this.
