5.0 out of 5 stars Really like them!
I really enjoy having these speakers. I put them in my bathroom and I listen to internet radio from my computer. (Come on, who doesn't sing in the shower.) But I do have a complaint. The remote control does not turn the speakers on! You have to do that manually by hitting the button on the top of each speaker. That puts a restriction on how high you can install...

2.0 out of 5 stars Outdoor speakers
They do not have very good sound quality, the batteries don't last very long at all and they are very expensive. It takes 8 C batteries for each speaker. We bought the speakers to have out by the pool and were very disappointed. The sound will go in and out and usually you dont get sound from both speakers at the same time...very disappointed.

I wanted a set of speakers out on the screen porch. These looked like a good alternative, and indeed when they work they're nice little speakers. Unfortunately, the speakers frequently lost their connection, which made for a somewhat frustrating listening experience. I returned them and bought some Polk Atriums instead. It was easier to run the speaker wire outside than to deal with the frequent resets required by these speakers. As an added bonus, the Polks have a much better sound.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my wife. She wanted some speakers on our porch for the summer. Given the weather we have had recently I have not had the chance to see how they work outside. The speakers seem to work fine when I try them out by moving them to the next room. The chief disappointment has been that it will not work with our Bose radio. Perhaps this is something Bose has done so only Bose products can plug into the ear jack. When a plug the sending unit into the Bose nothing happens. I have tried it with an Ipod and it works fine. Big disappointment but who's fault is it? This is something I did not count on when I was looking for wireless speakers. I chose these because they run on batteries AND they can be pluged into an outlet.

5.0 out of 5 stars great speakers, March 20, 2009

The speakers have good range, good sound and both the transmitter and the speakers run on battery power as well as AC power. You can listen to your TV, Radio, iPod, stereo simply by plugging them into the back of the transmitter.

Since the transmitter is also battery powered you can take the whole system anywhere in your back yard.
