Two (2) water resistant push button switchs independently select the White and Red LED lighting. Originally designed for pilots and flight crews, this flashlight concept is ideal for anyone working at night who needs to preserve night vision - flight crews, Police, Fire, EMS, Hunters or Campers. The heavy-duty anodized aluminum body seals tight for water resistance. Powered by 3 AAA cells (included), the Pilot Flashlight LEDs are rated at 100,000 hours. Expect 20-24 hours of operation on a fresh set of batteries when using White LEDs. 5 1/2" in length, 1 1/2" diameter at lens housing.

This is a well-made, solid LED flashlight that is perfect for those needing a red light option as well as white. Using the red light is great when you don't need such a bright light or don't want to bother others who might be sleeping nearby.

There are 12 white LEDs, and 7 red LEDs. You switch each set on or off with a separate pushbutton switch that isn't likely to get pressed accidentally in a bag. A partial press of the button when the light is on will temporarily turn the light off so you can quickly "flash" the lights if you wish to get someone's attention.

The white light is very bright with a nice even pattern without a "hot spot" of light in the middle.

I like that it uses 3 AAA batteries instead of some hard-to-find battery.

White light is good and the red light useful. I appreciated that this flashlight used standard "AAA" batteries. However the switch was flakey and eventually failed. Not worth returning however I won't buy this light again.

I came across this cool flashlight when searching for a small flash light for camping. I thought it would be cool to use the colored light at night to keep from blurring my night vision. Once I received this flashlight it works exactly as I hoped. It is well made, light weight and more than bright enough for using in the tent for reading with the colored light and walking outside with the white light. A great gift item for the outdoor enthusiast or keeping in the car for passengers who like to read at night.
