First off, I must say, this is the first pellet/bb rifle, I've purchased in a long time. I'm 32 now, and when I was in my early teen years I think it was, I had an older Daisy Model 225, one-pump bb-gun. So going from that rifle to this, well, WOW! This rifle is so powerful and accurate, it just blows me away!

To me, it seems like Daisy always had made very high quality rifles and pistols, and this seems to be no exception to that rule. I've owned a bb rifle and bb pistol before, and have played with various other friend's rifles growing up, and to me, this is by far the most powerful I've used. I haven't even pumped it up to the recommended limit of 10 pumps yet, and it still seems so powerful, I'm just positive it is deadly to all small game, and would do some serious damage to a human, and possibly kill someone if pumped enough, and the shot was placed in the right area. Which I definitely wanted to mention, because to me, I wouldn't suggest a parent buy this for child, or give to a child as a present. I think it just has to much power with it, and I would recommend less powerful models for kids. But on the same side of that coin, if you have responsible parents, that will usually be present when their child is shooting this rifle, well then I would think it's okay to buy for them. But the world isn't that lucky to always have that kind of good parental supervision, so parents beware, and always follow and read all safety rules. And of course, always wear the safety eye protection, regardless of age.

I'm not an avid air rifle shooter, so I don't possess a large amount of technical knowledge and jargon, regarding this sport, but I'll do my best to give my impression of the rifle.

Got a squirrel problem and don't want to spend a bundle or spook the neighbors? This is your gun. The scope is its only real drawback. After mounting, it pointed right of the muzzle. I had to shim the front bracket with thin pasteboard to get a good eyeball alignment. After 8 practice shots, it groups about an inch at 25 yards, about the distance of an average back yard. It's hard to do much better since the scope doesn't magnify well at that range.

The test was from well inside a room out a window opened about 8 inches. At 6 pumps, it's no louder than a cap pistol. Penetration was through an eighth inch of heavy pressboard, then into a tree trunk flush with the surface. This was with the flat shot included. Imagine what you can do with 10 pumps and Crosman Destroyers.

A tip for novice gunners: turn the top screw clockwise if you're shooting high. Turn the side screw clockwise if you're shooting too far right. One complete turn moves the impact point about 5 inches.

The only cons concern the cheap scope. Since it straddles the bolt chamber, loading is tricky, and could cost you an opportunity. This doesn't compare well with the Crosman Fury, which can be loaded and cocked in five seconds flat. Unfortunately, it creats a loud sonic crack.

The biggest advantage to this gun is being able to zero the scope on your own property. That's how quiet it is. It doesn't cost much; go ahead and add it to your collection.

12+ dead squirrels so far. Great for varmint shooting or plinking! The pellets are a bit hard to load but the aim/accuracy is excellent. The birds love me more now that the feeder stays full since the squirrels are gone.

Hey guys, Recently I bought this product here. I must say, I am a fond collector and fan of airsoft/bb guns. I can tell you right now, if you're looking too buy this gun then DO IT! I received the product very quickly and in great packaging. Also I thought that the product (gun) would work better without the scope so I kept it off for a day or two. The iron sights are a 10/10 for ACCURACY. Then once I put the scope on and zeroed it in, I was astonished. I didn't think I'd find such quality in a product like this. Also, the gun shows great power with its accuracy, 7-8 pumps will penetrate through 2 food cans or a wood fence. (DO NOT GO OVER 10 PUMPS - WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE)

If you want to begin this hobby and try it out, I recommend this rifle out of any OTHER! I was looking at the Crosman 2100, but no way. This gun outperforms anything. It comes with a great kit, the gun is DURABLE if you're not an idiot and take care of it. People think they can get a steel quality airgun for 70 bucks these days, for the price, the gun matches well.

Overall, if you're even interested, just buy it. You won't be the least bit upset about anything.

I purchased this item as I had a similar model years ago. Most inexpensive air rifles are smooth bore, and as a result not very accurate. This model has a rifled bore. I am very pleased with its performance and it's a bargain for the price.
