Powermat Receiver Back Panel for Nintendo DSi

The Powermat Receiver for the DSi works, but is very expensive, especially considering that users have already spent quite a bit for the Powermat itself. (Note: This item requires the Powermat, which might not be clear to people who don't already own a Powermat.)

The Powermat wraps around the DSi. It adds a bit of bulk, but the extra bulk isn't burdensome. I estimate that it weighs about the same as the power cord, but the form factor means you don't have to deal with tangled wires. It also looks sleeker than the image on Amazon.

If money is not an object, this receiver works well and gets the job done. To me though, it doesn't offer much value for the money.

I dont know who can up with idea for powermat and related items but it is great because i dont have to use all outlets to plug in chargers ,use this for kids toys,phones,and many other items,thanks Dan

The Powermat system is perfect for kids or spouses who can't keep track of their chargers. The mat is big enough to stay put, but not so big as to be intrusive. The DSI adapter works well, but perhaps not quite as well as the adapters that replace the battery door on cell phones, for example. Not much that can be done about this as it relates to the design of the DSI and not the powermat system. It's really only a limitation if using the DSI with a hard protective case.

That said, the adapter fits well and works as described. Simply place it on the mat, allow the magnets to align it and forget it until you're ready to use it again.

These are a neat little device and make it very convenient to charge your iphone, PSP, etc.
