case won't come off,
By adam464 (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Powermat Receiver Case for iPod Touch (Electronics)
I received this case as a gift and it seemed like a pretty good deal, charge my ipod "wirelessly" and get a case at the same time. Unfortunately, the case doesn't like to come off of the ipod. I spent hours trying to unattach the case, but to no avail. Finally I gave up and looked online to see if anyone else had problems similarly to mine. Turns out the internet is filled with people who couldnt get their cases off except by using extreme measures that I wasn't willing to risk. I figured that there must be a trick to it so I called the manufacturer who directed me to their website. They have a specific video detailing how to remove the case (so you know its a common problem). Unfortunately, while this video makes it seem like an easy task, I was still unable to remove the case. I think this might only be an issue with some of the cases, maybe I just pushed it into place too hard the first time? Either way, beware. It's been a few months now, and my ipod is still being held captive by the powermat casing.

Its a great charger but a little inconvenent to have if you want to listen to music,
This review is from: Powermat Receiver Case for iPod Touch (Electronics)
I purchased this for my husband as a gift, and the charging part works great. Its a little bulky since the cover/battery is a little big, however you have to take the whole case off each time you want to hook it up on the USB to listen to music. So if he wants to put it in a cradle doc or hook it up on his car stereo you have to take the battery cover off each time. (its a pain) they should come up with a solution so you shouldnt have to take it off for any reason.

Not designed for the 4g touch,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Powermat Receiver Case for iPod Touch (Electronics)
This case is not designed for the fourth generation iPod touch. The cutout for the power button is on the wrong side and there is no hole for the front-facing camera. To use either of them, the case must be removed. Also, there is a good deal of space between the case and the iPod once it is assembled. This creates a recess between the volume buttons and the case, making it difficult to reach them if you have big fingers.I ended up drilling some holes through the plastic to enable access to the camera and power buttons, and added a few layers of tape to the inside to enable a more secure fit. It is a good product that works well in most respects, but it should not be advertised as compatible with the 4g touch.
