This is a great way to charge my Blackberry. I was reluctant about paying $40 for a charger, but fortunately I found this one on sale for $19. It barely adds anything to the weight or dimensions of the phone, and doesn't get in the way of my belt clip. I just drop the phone on my powermat at the head of my bed when I go to sleep, and when I wake up my Blackberry is fully charged. I can also pick it up easily during the night to complain about the work emails I get after hours, and then plop it back down and try to go back to sleep. The wireless charging means there are no cords to wrap around my neck when I am too tired to realize what is going on.

I didn't understand how it was going to charge my phone at first; I understand the basics of magnetic induction but didn't see how it would interface with the phone without doing something weird to the battery or plugging up the charging port. Apparently there are 2 little contacts on the back of the phone that I never noticed before, presumably for some kind of dock or ridiculous charging station or something. The new battery door covers these 2 contacts and uses them to charge the phone. I didn't have to replace or even remove the battery so it was a lot less intrusive than I imagined.

The battery door slides right on in place of the back cover of the phone... it's a little bit thicker, but not much, and looks pretty cool. Just drop your phone on the mat and... "it's f*@#ing charging!"

This product works very well, just as I desire. I recommend this product. It's heavy, but worth it because my plug for my phone charger doesn't work anymore. This is definitely worth it for me to buy it.

The Powermat PMR-BBC1 Receiver Li-ion Battery Door is an amazing product. I use it to charge up my BB Curve 8330. Now I can charge it fast without having to deal with cords or figuring out where to plug the AC adapter. Terrific.

One less charger to clog up the countertop. I have powermat backs on both of our Crackberries and all the DS-Lites... no more fumbling for a charger. Works great - charges all the devices quickly!

sometimes hard to "handshake" (connect) no more hunting for end of charging cord or having cords draped every where. Back is small enough to slloe BB to fit in standard belt carrier
