The capstan works via an easy-to-operate foot switch (included) that connects to your boat battery. The maximum speed of the Capstan 300 depends on the rotational speed of the drum. To adjust the retrieval speed, simply decrease the tension on the retrieved line, which in turn helps you maintain control over a very heavy load with little effort.
