5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection of solitaire games! March 26, 2013
Verified Purchase
Love this game! There is so many different kinds of solitaire you just cant get bored. I runs smoothly on my Kindle fire so far, tho I have not played all the games yet. The ads are only at the start of a game and they flash on and off so quickly it really isn't a problem. I highly recommend this game for any solitaire lover.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cards too small September 29, 2013
Verified Purchase
I was hoping for more. The cards are too small for this older woman even though I wear glasses. On the Pyramid type games, if you complete tier one, the game is over....you can't continue on to tier 2. It's also difficult to transfer cards on some of the other games. I deleted this as I'm very happy with the other Solitaire aps I have downloaded.

3.0 out of 5 stars missing card? this is a first September 29, 2013

UPDATED REVIEW: I wanted to see if scenario I detailed below repeated itself. It did. This time I slid my finger down the comleted sequences in the upper right hand corner and the missing cards slid out. Apparently it is a dislplay issue with KFHD. There appears to be no way to see what the completed sequences cover up as more accumulate without playing peek-a-boo. Though I "found" the "missing" cards I'm leaving this rating at 3 stars. If cards were larger and/or a zoom feature were added this app would be much more enjoyable to play. I want to play solitaire, not peek-a-boo!
Original Post: First off, I was delighted to discover Amazon had replaced the earlier FAOTD disaster with this offering. I chose Spider for my kick-off game. I had exposed all cards and was ready to play my final move to zip through the winning sequence nicely laid out in two columns to be joined and discovered a ten of spades was nowhere to be found. Reminded me of playing with camping decks as a kid. At least in those days I could count out the deck and know I'd never win with that deck. Never had this happen with virtual card game before. No fun. Showed final screen to boyfriend and he was incredulous, then greatly amused. Until that happened I was loving it. I had even written to someone who loves solitaire to take advantage of the offering...now I have to write again and warn them off. Anyone else have this missing card experience? No interest in no-win scenario. Gave 3 stars only because it could be 5 if fixed.

3.0 out of 5 stars some problems September 23, 2013
By Betty61

I enjoy playing the Crescent solitaire and Freecell on my Kindle Fire, so it is annoying and frustrating when those games freeze when I am near completion. Nothing happens when I touch the card and then it will float across the screen and disappear. Then I have to exit because the screen is frozen. I was also allowed to make an illegal move (I did it by accident). The games are fun, but not the glitches.

2.0 out of 5 stars cards are too small September 29, 2013
Verified Purchase
I wish there was a way to make the cards bigger. Got this installed on my mom's phone (She loves solitaire, especially the spider version) but the first thing she commented on was that she was unable to see the cards very well. She's going back to her free ad supported solitaire app.

1.0 out of 5 stars tiny cards, buggy game. September 29, 2013
Verified Purchase
The cards are very hard to see, even on a 7 inch tablet. I tried playing Klondike solitaire, double tapped on an ace and it flew out of screen. Evey time I tried it it left the game unplayable. I didn't bother playing the other games.

There is no landscape mode, only portraite.

1.0 out of 5 stars I was ready to give it 3 or 4 stars...until... September 29, 2013
Verified Purchase
Not just freezing my Kindle Fire HD, but locking it up so badly I have to restart to get anything done. It's done this a few times now while playing different game, so it's something serious going wrong in there.

Before that happened, I was not entirely happy and was considering whether to give 3 or 4 stars.

Cons:
- The cards are very small on the tablet screen and very low-res looking. They look like cards from old 8-bit games. Some people might like the nostalgia, but I'd prefer to have that as a choice rather than the only option. (There are 2 sets of card faces...both of them are pretty bad.) These cards would be impossible, due to the size and low resolution, for a person with bad eyesight. The King and Jack are so similar I don't think some people would be able to tell the difference.
- If there's a way to "auto bear off" cards, I couldn't find it. So you have to drag each and every card from the board to the piles. And when I tried to double-click to see if that would get the card to fly up to its pile, the card flew off the screen and locked up the tablet. Very frustrating having to spend all that time actually dragging cards after the game has (technically) been won.
- The games do not follow the rules. You can make a lot of illegal plays (such as moving a stack of six or seven cards in Freecell when you only have one blank spot...you should only be able to move a stack of two).

Pros:
- Free today, and only 99 cents the other days.
- Several variations of solitaire.

If you don't care about the low-res cards or any of the other things I label as cons, and if your device doesn't get locked up by this app, it might be fine for your needs. But given my experience, I can't recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars All in one solitaire.
Haven't really played it much. But do wish it had more automatic "flings". Otherwise I enjoy the game. Will try other versions now and then.

Many of the games are very similar to each other. Not much challenge to most of them. Just average as far as games go.
