Garry Schyman...you are awesome...,
This review is from: Praan (MP3 Download)
Just like most, if not all of you, I have watch this video in the "Where the Hell is Matt?" video. And for some strange reason the video and this song struck a chord in me that I can't really explain.
If you don't understand the lyrics then here's a translation of the lyrics in English: ------------------------------------------------------------- The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures. It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers. It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth and of death, in ebb and in flow. I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life. And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- But even if you don't understand the lyrical language, the musical language is truly universal where emotions of the creator and vocalist of song could be expressed without any need for words. Garry Schyman, I truly loved your work in "Bioshock", but this song truly is a step above and beyond that. Thank you... Download this song you will not regret it!!

Wonderful Song from the YouTube-Hit "Where the Hell is Matt" (2008),
This review is from: Praan (MP3 Download)
A wonderful song that is featured on the YouTube-Hit "Where the Hell is Matt" (2008) (Matt Harding) and was written by Garry Schyman and sung by young Palbasha Siddique.
The text is from the Bengali poem Gitanjali ("Stream of Life") from Rabindranath Tagore: Bhulbona ar shohojete Shei praan e mon uthbe mete Mrittu majhe dhaka ache je ontohin praan Bojre tomar baje bashi She ki shohoj gaan Shei shurete jagbo ami Shei jhor jeno shoi anonde Chittobinar taare Shotto-shundu dosh digonto Nachao je jhonkare! The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures. Simply love-food for my ears! If you like this kind of music: try out the music from KÀ from Cirque du Soleil.

Praan is an Amazing Song with a Great Singer,
By
This review is from: Praan (MP3 Download)
This song, by Garry Schyman, was commissioned by Matt Harding of "Where in the Hell is Matt" fame on YouTube. The singer is 17 year old Palbasha Siddique of Minneapolis, MN. She has been signing for years, and her hard work shows.
This is an incredbily moving song, even if you do not speak Bengali. We need more Garry Schyman, more Matt, and especially, more Palbasha. She received no royalties for this song, but hopefully someone who recognizes pure talent will cut her a deal and let her make millions! She deserves it for the joy she brings to anyone who listens to this song. Strongly recommended - buy this song - it will make your life better! (oh- and if you haven't - watch the video).
