A bit difficult,
By K T B "readaholic" (Sydney) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Practical Aromatherapy (Paperback)
This is not an essential book for the aromatherapy novice. It would not call it a quick reference at all. It contains some excellent information but to find it you will have to take some time to read the book. It covers a number of aromatherapy techniques which is very handy.

First attempt at aromatherapy.....,
This review is from: Practical Aromatherapy (Paperback)
This my first book on Aromatherapy. I enjoyed reading it and all the information contained in it is very useful. I had bought some essential oils but didn't want to start using them before having more information on how to do it safely! I wish the author didn't use the word etc because one is left without knowing the other options. Also, when she tells you the complaints essential oils can be used for (which is very useful) I wish she would tell in which form, bath, gargling, ingested, topical..... with a carrier oil, without..... I think that I will give another one a go as well. The explanations about how to massage are very interesting but I wonder if a layperson like myself will manage to remember it all.... but I will try! I will surely try some of her recipes and see where I can buy her products. I have already tried essential oils diluted in yogurt in my bath and also gargled with tea tree oil, vodka and water.
Aromatherapy is fascinating and although I am new to this I hope to be using it more often in the future (minus point is that so many oils on the market seem to be adulterated)! |
