Editorial Reviews

Review

"Practical Biometrics" is "practical" in the truest sense of the word. Julian Ashbourn has a thorough understanding of biometric technology and the issues organizations need to address when they set out to deploy biometric-based security. He does an excellent job of communicating that knowledge and describing how BANTAM and Pentaksi, systems he developed, can be used to enhance the success of biometric implementations.", Judith Markowitz, President, J. Markowitz, Consultants, USA

From the Author

This book really does introduce biometrics and related systems in a down to earth, practical manner that every program manager and systems integrator will readily identify with. In addition, it is supplied with a very useful software utility which will prove invaluable to many readers.

While practical in nature, the book is also highly readable and will be a useful reference for those who are non-technical but who nevertheless wish to understand how this technology works and what its potential applications are. For many, it will be the only 'biometrics' book that they will ever need.
