4.0 out of 5 stars Good structure and easy to follow
I like this book - really gets me into different aspects of business Chinese. But you do need to have some basic knowledge of Chinese beforehand.

This book is really terrible. The vocabulary words that are chosen are random and scattered and aren't grouped together in typically themed chapters like I've had with previous textbooks. This book is really terrible. The vocabulary words that are chosen are random and scattered and aren't grouped together in typically themed chapters like I've had with previous textbooks. For this level of business Chinese the chapters are way too easy with excessive amounts of English and pinyin. Also, there is no traditional along with the simplified characters! If anyone is learning traditional don't buy this book!!

What a waste of money. I wish I never bought it. Now I just study it for the grade in class. I would recommend "Open for Business: Lessons in Chinese Commerce for the New Millennium" (ISBN 0-88727-456-0). I haven't started in it yet, but it looks 100x more interesting, useful, and convenient compared to this book. I bought OFB in Taipei, Taiwan in the language dept of ''.

I'm gonna start using it as a replacement and study it buy myself and just skim the other book to get the grade in class. Bad Chinese learning textbooks are a tragedy!
