I haven't seen this book, but Dr. Balakrishnan (I'm assuming he's the same one) saved my life in 1983 when I was in Kerala, India, and bleeding to death from ulcerative colitis but afraid to take medications because of allergies.
I was deeply grateful and extremely impressed by his skill and care (with only basic low technology) in desensitizing me to the necessary treatment, something that had not occurred to my New York specialists. A tremendous application of "Practical Gastroenterology" indeed! |
