This review is from: Practical Guide to Surface Science and Spectroscopy (Hardcover)
This is a short, introductory book on surface science literally. It is very much suitable for undergraduate science and engineering students. It may sound too light for graduate students. However, if you are looking for a very simple and fundamental book, this is what you need.

A lot of basic topics are discussed very successfully such as ultrahigh vacuum technology (UHV), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), photoemission, adsorption and the like.

The attached CD contains a great deal of fun, illustrative and instructive schemes, charts etc. It really enhances the overall quality of the book.
