Originally published in Great Britain, this coffee table-sized (12 X 9) introduction to marine and freshwater tropical aquarium fish is informative as well as attractively designed and illustrated. With striking accompanying color photographs, the text covers such topics as tank setup, fish healthcare, and the physical and temperamental characteristics of many popular varieties. While less expensive than Joseph Levine's excellent The Complete Fishkeeper ( LJ 10/15/91), this title lacks that book's breadth of coverage and useful suggestions for compatible tank designs and occupants. While not a necessary purchase for those already owning Levine, this is an excellent choice wherever demand and budget warrant. See also "Grooming Your Pet Care Collection," LJ 2/1/92, p. 49-53.--Ed.
